Here comes the platoon player who’s leads the team in HR’s and is second in the NL in RBI’s

Today’s game was a win as far as Junior is concerned. Attendance was 45,256 which is several hundred over capacity. The product on the field is just fine. No need to spend big money making it better.

I wonder how many of those tickets are being discounted? I know the cokes and hot dogs aren’t being discounted but what about the tickets?

Those $20 hot dogs are always relegated to the turkey gizzard variety to offset any discounted ticket prices…And if you look closely, the mustard on those days is a generic brand in place of the tried and true French’s. Billy Jr. realized his vast fortune in the area of holding companies who’s various tasks are designed to reduce risk for investors. He certainly knows how to move his hot dogs around in order to realize a nice profit…

It’s a money gusher. All is well.

Is this season just an aberration or is this what Cardinal baseball is doomed to be for awhile?

It feels like this type of collapse has been building…..

Pittsburgh loses to the Mets 5-1 today at Three Rivers Stadium.

Oakland leads Milwaukee 2-1 in the top of the 10th at County Stadium.

Cubs play later tonight against the Giants at Seals Stadium.

Things could have turned out worse today. Especially if Oakland can hang on and win again against the Brewers.

    And more good news!

Oakland hangs on to beat Milwaukee 2-1 in 10 innings.

I know Front Row Amy was in attendance last night but I am not sure if she was there today.

Oakland has now won five in a row!

We still might get our chance to draft the next Mark Appel.

My goodness, Rats! The lowly A’s with 5 wins in a row? That’s a feat that the Cardinals haven’t been able to accomplish. Their longest winnng streak this season is 4 in a row. Hopefully the Oakland A’s can set an achievement standard for our team to aspire to. Not at all unlike a sort of mentor for the Cardinal organization…

Actually, I think I mis-spoke. I think it’s four (4) wins in a row. Would be nice to make it five though with another win in Milwaukee.

And on a bad note……The Cubs lead the Giants 4-0 in the last of the 5th at Seals Stadium in San Francisco.

Well, even at 4 in a row, the two teams are still running neck and neck…In the direction of a noose.

Wife bought some economy size store brand a while back that hung around in the fridge for a couple months. About a tablespoon of water would flow out on first squirt every time. I finally told her to pick up some French’s, but she said we still had plenty of the other (she doesn’t eat mustard). I accidentally squirted the final 8 ounces or so down the disposal.

Haha!…Yeah, you gotta’ go with French’s on a hot dog, Euro. Not even the real fancy horseradish type mustards taste right on a good old fashioned, artery clogging, hot dog. If you’re going to require a couple of stents, why do it with second rate mustard?
