You can tell this is get away day. This game may be completed in under two hours.
May 25, 2023 at 12:49 pm #222039Weaver dominating so far.
May 25, 2023 at 12:59 pm #222040Some nice baseball there at the plate,
May 25, 2023 at 1:13 pm #222042Not paying attention.
May 25, 2023 at 1:17 pm #222043By far the best turn by Mikolas in ’23.
May 25, 2023 at 1:27 pm #222045Gorman to the rescue
May 25, 2023 at 1:28 pm #222046Let’s hope RBI #40 turns out to be the game winner.
May 25, 2023 at 1:29 pm #222047Whoa…They kick it around and allow a big run to cross HP.
May 25, 2023 at 1:37 pm #222048This Verhagen guy does not inspire confidence.
May 25, 2023 at 1:39 pm #222049Takes guts to send that baserunner down by 2 in the 8th.
May 25, 2023 at 1:39 pm #222050Yes, let’s give it away with walks.
May 25, 2023 at 1:40 pm #222051BB not the worst thing there. Need a GB.
May 25, 2023 at 1:49 pm #222052He still makes me nervous sometimes, but Gio now flashing a 1.83 ERA in almost 20 innings of work.
May 25, 2023 at 1:54 pm #222053No one checks on the baserunner anymore.
May 25, 2023 at 2:02 pm #222054He made it in there, but that was a lousy baserunning decision by Steer down by 2 in the 9th.
May 25, 2023 at 2:06 pm #222055You see Donovan tell Yepez that if he’s going to concede the run, the throw needs to go to 2B?
May 25, 2023 at 2:08 pm #222056Yep 1td, Donovan looked perturbed. PDJ was also in shallow left field pointing to 2B as Yep fielded the ball.
Thing is, you might have physical limitations, but you can’t add stupid on top of that.

stlcard25ParticipantA split isn’t great with a team like Cincy, but it beats 1-3.
May 25, 2023 at 2:11 pm #222058Right stlcard25, take it and leave.
May 25, 2023 at 2:15 pm #222059Yeah, Euro, if Fairchild comes rounding hard around 1B, there’s a good chance he ends up in scoring position as the tying run at 2B. The coconut has to be in the game.
May 25, 2023 at 2:15 pm #222060Good pitching today. Mikolas definitely gave us what we needed. Not sure why we couldn’t hit Weaver. He’s traditionally been bad. I’m at work and couldn’t watch any of it. Curious as to how good he was.
May 25, 2023 at 2:18 pm #2220611td, I had a counterintuitive feeling that the new clock rules might actually benefit Gio. Keeps him from freezing up and overthinking. No way to know for sure, but maybe it has helped him. Regardless, it has helped me and that’s the important part, haha.
May 25, 2023 at 2:19 pm #222062Gorman now at 40 RBI’s with less than a third of the season on the books. Not too shabby for a young player who was demoted to AAA during his debut Big League season.
May 25, 2023 at 2:21 pm #222063Whether it has or not, Euro, he’s been good. Don’t know exactly why, but he still makes me nervous. Must have something to do with that conditioned reflex thing that Pavlov talked about…Haha!
May 25, 2023 at 2:24 pm #222064Yeah, Jnevel. Outstanding turn from Mikolas. He probably saw the line-up and determined that he was going to have to throw a lot of blanks up on the board.
