He could be suggesting that the Cardinals are making up an injury so they can skip a not ready for the majors Liberatore.
Why would they make up an injury for just two days? He still faces the Pirates, but on Wednesday instead of Monday. Why would that matter? Not everything is a conspiracy…
I asked on the Hall of Fame thread but I figure it would get more attention here.
Was Herzog at the stadium for the HOF activities on Sunday? I don’t recall hearing anything about him or seeing him in the pics anywhere.
Rats – Herzog was on the field for the HOF weekend. IMO he looks better at 92 years old than LaRussa does at 78!
Looking more closely at the crowd photo, I don’t see anyone on the field or other evidence that the game is underway or about to start, so it might not be representative. I see it is also posted on Fansided.
A lot of injuries this season … just another issue contributing to a very frustrating season. Hopefully, everyone is healthy and ready to go as Spring Training starts.
They’d be playing through many of these recent injuries if they were in a close race for a post-season berth. I’ll also say that in my view, this team has suffered a minimal amount of injuries ths season. At any rate, they can’t use the old injuries trick to provide an excuse for this season’s dismal failure, but they would if they could. Heck, they tried to blame the catcher, so you just know they’ll stoop to almost anything if they think it’ll cover up their backsides.

The Reds and Angels game tonight in El Segundo has been postponed because of all the rain from the hurricane. Now I will have to watch the Rangers and D’Backs from Winslow, Arizona. I’ll be standing on the corner.

Saw that too JJ. I hope TBA is a lefty. 1TD gets his wish come true-Goldy at 3 slot. O’Niel at 2 is a secret to me. Seems like hes cold at the plate lately except for one game last week when he was about the only one hitting. Ollie must have soom secret info on the Pirates!

The Cubs and Detroit are in a scoreless tie in the top of the 1st at Tiger Stadium.
Milwaukee has the night off. The square off against Minnesota tomorrow night at County Stadium. Let’s hope Front Row Amy is in attendance.
As we all know the Cards and Pirates are tied 0-0 in the top of the 1st at Forbes Field.
And the Reds and Angels have been rained out in El Segundo due to Hurricane Hillary.
