The television play-by-play guy kind of grates on me a little. I don’t normally like to complain about announcers as it is not an easy job, and not saying this guy is horrible.

But his cadence and voice are a bit irritating.

Man, what was Goldy thinking? Bases loaded and takes strike three right down the middle!?

Goldy bases loaded 3-2 count and you strike out looking with three pitches to the same spot? Tell me it ain’t so!!

Walker had a pitch to hit on the first one, but did not pull the trigger. Ends up waving at a breaking ball for strike three. Gotta jump on those pitches you can handle.

Six stranded the last two innings. That has to tie a record. 😀

Another lefty reliever named King. Takes me back to when we had Ray “Burger” King. He and Steve Kline were a potent 1-2 lefty punch out of our bullpen for a couple of years there.

Yeah Mike its looking like time to revive the famous BLD stastic. The Bases Loaded Dud. One on Goldy and one on Motter so far. Burly , O’Niel and surprisingly Edman not getting it done tonight. 11 hits and 5 runs so far.

I like those nicknames, did they call him Burger?

Yeah, that was Ray King’s nickname. He was sort of a stout dude and the name fit well.

This play-by-play guy made a mistake with O’Neill up. Runners were on second and third and it was 3-2 on Ty. He said “runners will be moving”, but you don’t start going with first base open.

Romero in again? Seems like he has pitched in every game lately.

Didn’t like us dealing away Edmundo Sosa, but Romero has looked real good.

Great to see Hudson finding his command again.

Good JoJo has been good lately. Imagine having him, Helsley and Galleagos next year. Nado really battled last inning to move Goldy over. Goldy might have been able to steal 2nd after all that. When was the last time O’Niel had a hit? Needs to wake up again. Edman nice Dinger! Yowza!

    FYI,

Jack Flaherty is getting hammered in his start at San Diego tonight. Sanchez hit a grand slam in the 1st at Jack Murphy Stadium.

Our old buddy Michael Wacha is on the hill for the Padres.

Good outing by Hudson. Hopefully he is on his way to returning to form.

Hudson with the win! My bad O’Niel with one hit tonight. Burly never found a hole. Lotta upside with the bats but we really shoulda had a lot more runs. A’s relief was pretty good though-a lot of full counts. Go Cardinals!

It’s the A’s – playing them is not much better than playing a AAA team most nights.

Your boy sure has been flexing his muscles of late, GameCard. Yes, we’re going to have to surrender quality to get some pitching this off-season, but you have to designate Eddie and Donovan as untouchables, as they are the core of the nest egg. And a smart person NEVER messes with the core of their nest egg.
