I know we don’t really have a home for him.

A team in our position can make a spot for whoever they want.

I was thinking the same thing and with a DH and the season long since in the fire he could easily get 100 PA’s before everyone goes home.

Reviewing the box score I notice Romero threw 19 pitches, 16 strikes. My kind of pitcher.

Carlson’s BA down to .219. SLG is .333. He hasn’t been taking advantage of his chances this season, including now with O’Neill on the shelf yet again. Both of those guys need to be cycled out by next year. A lot of promise, but enough is enough.

Romero has a starters arsenal. We could do worse as a SP5 next season.

    Jojo: sinker, slider, change, 4-seam

    Monty: sinker, change, curve, 4-seam

O’Neil is hurt again? Just a couple of days or another stint on the DL?

“O’Neill…felt tightness in his left knee during Sunday’s travel day from St. Louis to St. Petersburg…”

The stewardess bumped O’Neill’s knee with the drinks cart. He’s listed as day-to-day. The stewardess, excuse me, the “flight attendant,” is on the 10-day IL with discomfort in her serving wrist.

Someone mentioned this before and it caught my attention as well. Not that it means anything at all, but when you look at Romero’s career pitching line on BR it stands out as odd looking to me that he’s been around since ’20 and he’s only been the pitcher of decision 3 times in 61 innings of work with all 3 of those decisions coming this season. Again, no big deal, but it just looks funny at first glance.

Haha!…A lot of those fight attendants are rude and temperamental these days. He/She probably nailed him intentionally to brush him back from the crowding aisle…Sort of a drink cart purpose pitch…
