4-2 for the homestand is a reasonable hope now. That would be fantastic vs quality teams.

After a disappointing start to the season, the Cards have turned it around and are now on pace to win 108 games.

cubs are on pace to lose 108 games.

No doubt about it. This is a scary offensive lineup.

When Gorman was promoted in late May of last season I was immediately impressed by the manner in which the baseball launches like a rocket off of his bat when he makes solid contact and I recall he collected 6 or 7 HR’s pretty quickly before he began to fall victim to the K at an alarming rate. My first impression of the way the baseball took off when he connected initially struck me as similar to the power that Lance Berkman generated when Berky was standing in from the left side. At any rate, there’s a long way to go, but if Gorman can somehow overcome a tendency to fall victim to the K and make contact, in my view he’ll be a consistent threat to generate a whole lotta taters.

Oh, I almost forgot…Mr. Packy turned in a pretty nice 2.1 innings of work for both the team and a bullpen that was short on steam.

The game looks easy when everybody is hot at the same time.

I recorded it but it was too late when I got done mowing yard to try to watch it. Good opening weekend nonetheless. I am concerned about our pitching but I was before season started. Keep hitting like this n maybe it won’t matter though that usually doesn’t keep happening

The Cards can hit up and down the lineup unlike last season where there were 3-4 black holes every day

They will post some big numbers on days when they are all hitting and there will be a lot fewer days of 0-2 runs since chances are good at least some of them will have a good game.

Sure, some days nobody can buy a hit but again, with this line up it seems a lot less likely.

Agreed. We’ve seen in the past what happens when Goldy and Arenado get really hot. That hasn’t even happened yet.
