Thompson tells me that Goldy’s hit was “110 mph off the bat”…It was a single!

Not the proper blend of exit velo and launch angle.

Cards just turned two to limit Jack’s pitch count in the 2nd.

    The “Dippity-Do”

That’s it. I could hear my son telling me it’s a bad-form squat, but you nailed it.

Yeah, I’m surprised he neglected to disclose those two important bits of data, Euro. Especially being crucially pertaining to a 2 out single…

Jack is working the pitches per inning down. 40 after 2. Lets keep it moving in that direction Jackster.

    “Dippity-Do”

LOL that reminds me…I bought that crap once and it worked like the “hair jell” in “There’s something about Mary”

Not a total loss ‘cuz it worked good putting my model cars together

What is that funny looking squat he does when he comes set? That’s new, right, or have I just been blind to it previously?

He definitely has not done that before. Maybe something with emphasizing balance in his mechanics. There’s another SP in the league who does something similar, but I can’t think of who it is right now. Grienke does at times, but he’s an odd ball who does lots of things.

Haha! The key ingredient in that stuff is rumored to be industrial grade epoxy…

I can almost imagine what Jay’s fans are saying…”Six BB’s and a HBP, and we can’t score? Fire the hitting coach!”

The only thing Donovan does is reach base.

Who was that Pirate pitcher that threw a no’no with like 9 walks?

Goldy with a hit to move Donovan to 3B. That time Goldy had the right launch angle, but low exit velo. Needs to marry them up next AB.

Chapman screws up an inning-ending DP to gift the Cards the lead.

Haha! The Das Boot costs them 3 runs. So far…

It’s an offensive explosion. Good to see the Cards repaying the Jays for all those el cheapo hits yesterday.

Dock Ellis. That’s what hallucinating drugs can do for you.

A.J. Burnett did something like that, I think with the Marlins though, but he did pitch for Pittsburgh later in his career.

Jack has gone from “not gonna make it through 4” (according to me) to working on a no-no. My revised assessment was more accurate, he’s just messin’ with ’em.

LOL you got that right. I got my ass demolished in a wrestling match at Southwest HS on LSD. They had to halt the meet to clean up the vomit.

Who did they say is the backup catcher?

Donovan already working on his next Gold Glove Award with that over-the-head catch in the 4th.

If I saw Donovan walking down the street, I wouldn’t think athlete. I’d guess something like construction guy or welder who enjoys activities like hunting, fishing and bowling. The guy just knows how to play baseball.

If you had vomited on the mat before the match started you would’ve probably won.

I never dabbled, but met a guy in college who did and later became a great friend. He was a well known pot and acid head who kicked the habits to lead a still successful and productive life. He told me on one acid trip he was lying down on shag carpet (remember that from the 70s?) and the carpet strands started growing and could tie you up like Gulliver.

Yeah, he’s good, Euro. And like you pointed out, when he stands in the box he takes on the look of a working class artisan who’s there to turn in a quality unit of work every time he suits up and shows up. A little like the former Red Sox player known as “The Muddy Chicken.”

5 no hit innings, I’ll take that. Nice job. Unexpected, but nice. Lets chalk up the walks to the cold weather.
