January 25, 2022 at 5:32 pm #179492I purchased some group Tix for the Friday Yanks game last week. Getting Sundat Tix Thursday. Going with 15-20 Yankee fans. Should be a treat rubbing in their loss.
January 26, 2022 at 12:28 pm #179510That’s a very safe buy. Hopefully KS they’ll be playing by then.
Any word on Peoria single game tickets? Was looking to hit up a game in April or May while the 2 sides are still at odds.
January 26, 2022 at 1:09 pm #179512A word of caution to those who are considering buying tickets for the home opener (and paying a premium for them).
What I have heard is that if the regular season is delayed, the season will begin with the games on the first day – using the current schedule. Earlier games missed could be tacked back onto the schedule later via double headers or maybe even extending the regular season or they could be canceled completely, depending on how much time is missed.
But the key point is that there should be a new opening day if the regular season is delayed. But no one knows yet when that would be. For example, with a Monday, May 2 start to the season, the road opener would be Tuesday, May 3 at KC and the home opener would be Tuesday, May 10 vs. the Orioles.
In case you are curious, there are several reasons they won’t just slide the entire schedule to the right. One is logistical. Teams have already made their flights, hotel plans, etc. for the season based on the original dates as published. Another is that tickets sold were bought based on the date of the game, rather than Game 1, Game 12, Game 162, etc. with a sliding date. In this latter case, they would almost have to refund everyone and start over with sales for the entire shortened season. And that won’t happen.
Having said all of that, it isn’t like you would lose your money for postponed or canceled games. I highly doubt the Cardinals would do that to fans. But there can be no policy yet for something that hasn’t yet occurred. Then again, explaining buyers how refunds, credits, etc. would be handled in the event of a delayed season might ease concerns of some ticket buyers…
February 18, 2022 at 1:10 pm #180095Spring training officially delayed one week (so far): Those with tickets to canceled games can get full refunds. (Of course, hotels, rental cars and airplanes may be a different matter…)
MLB: “We regret that, without a collective bargaining agreement in place, we must postpone the start of Spring Training games until no earlier than Saturday, March 5th."

jj-cf-stlParticipantFirst two series cancelled (5 games).
157 possible. Where should we set the over/under?
March 1, 2022 at 7:22 pm #180338Upon MLB’s announcement, the Cardinals immediately removed the games from their schedule as if they never existed.

ParticipantSome interesting giveaways this year. That waino Molina canvas thing would be great. So would the 1982 world series shirt. Bad thing about that is they are giving the Ted Simmons replica mini statue on Sunday that week. I always felt that Ted deserved his own Cardinals world series ring in 82. But he did get a statue which in reality is a bigger honor.
March 17, 2022 at 9:44 am #180917The Cardinals final six games are against the Pirates. That could be significant.
