Funny how people are triggered by curly hair. A guy whose value is on defense and the basepaths isn’t a “tough hard-nosed Cardinal baseball player.”

I love the running game. I understand speed. Had a bit myself a few years back. Had hair halfway to my ass years ago. I could car less a players color, long hair, short hair, ugly, pretty, political party, gay, straight, outspoken, reserved, showboat, nice guy, asshole. What matters to me is can he hit and play defense. I think he has been given ample opportunity and just don’t think he is good enough. Being 3 for his last 24, this seems to be his norm. A good week and 3 bad ones at the plate. He makes some spectacular plays, but also throws in some bad decisions. I don’t dislke him. I don’t personally know him. Maybe a nice guy maybe an ass. Doesn’t matter. I wish he hit better. He just doesn’t. I wish Yepez could play defense. He just can’t. We rode Carpenter and Dejong farther than any other team would have. He probably will end up just like them.

Loved Ted and his hair. When I was a kid the old tomatoes hated long haired guys. I grew mine out to piss them off. I’m guessing Ted did it for that reason too. Sticking it to the skinheads like the white rodent.

Scoring is hard. ZipWH0Pered again — three times in less than a week. And good call on Wainwright, he is a warhouse.

This team is on life support! They look like they know they can’t hit when they go to bat! Even Edman had that look tonight! We in a little trouble here!

This team will be lucky to be 500 at the all star break, probably be 4 or 5 out of last wild card

Yeah it’s really tough to get shut out at home by the Philly’s and they didn’t even have Votto.

We have lots of guys on this can’t hit. Some you guys rave about. Bader is above some of those and has elite defense regardless of what is said. So I’ll take him. Bringing up his 3 for 24 right now is silly being that it was weeks ago. Say what you want but it’s bias, plain and simple. We were doing a lot better as a team before bader went down. Difference is for me I don’t pick and choose. The guys ain’t hitting or just mainly hitting home runs need to go if they can’t play defense. That’s what the Cardinals are about. Want something else, joins the cubs fandom.

Cubs are my number 2 team as I live in IL midway between. Cubs blew a 3 run lead to lose it in the bottom of the 10th. So it’s sorry times in Muddville.

Don’t see too many complete game losses.

Seeing as Donovan and Yepez have been tepid at the plate the last couple weeks, maybe the lineup iteration with them at the top has played itself out. But there is only so much room at the bottom of the order.

The names have changed but we essentially have the same team we’ve had since 2016 with the caveat that a whole lot more young players are seeing action. So that is better than riding it out with tired old veterans.

I guess use this season for growth and to separate the wheat from the chaff?

Still need 3 starting pitchers, a catcher, an outfielder, and a couple of depth pieces for next year.

I think we have a bullpen and starting lineup (outside of catcher) that, with this year under their belt will be ok. Goldschmidt not likely to ever be this good again though – hate wasting what looks like his career year.

I’m biased I agree. Against weak players. He can go play for the cubs.

Some wouldn’t know the difference between a weak player and a strong player
