They won’t release Pujols but it may be time to ask him to retire at the all star break. He’s hitting .193 and he’s done. It was one helluva career but it’s over.

Sheesh. Juan the DH. He didn’t make them put him there. Should have called up Burleson short term instead of Capel and see what he has.

Yepez with a horrible play, pure laziness. I think about any player even a pitcher could make that catch. Sure he’s not a outfielder but still you have to catch that.

Yepez should be nothing but a DH. Unless it’s a blowout game, that’s the only way he should be playing defense anywhere. This is the 3rd botched flyball in about two weeks.

And as far as Pujols goes……I said before the season started he would be hitting around .220 or so and would hopefully retire at the All Star Break. I guess time will tell if he does. Of course, so many people think he is so valuable to the team. Get real.

Well, that’s that. Had a chance to start this grueling 14 game stretch on a good note but failed to do so. Need to come ready to play tomorrow. Something tells me Yepez will be the DH tomorrow – if he’s even in the lineup.

5-3 Philadelphia your unhappy final. Time to get ready for the Padres and Dodgers from Los Angeles.

Never saw such a collection of crummy at bats. Mo’s new strategy should be to hire some players who know how to play this game. And hire back some cigar chompers who know something.

I am convinced if Albert barrels one it is pure luck. Mostly he looks terrible up there. But he had plenty of company tonight.

This outfield is pathetic. Gotta have someone out there that can hit. Carlson is the only keeper out there. Go cheap and you get results like these.

I think I just watched us play half a game. After the third inning it was all downhill. Goldy, Nado and Yepez the only ones with our hits. Embarrassing. I checked and we have not won a game after we’ve been off a day since April
Hope to see our real team play tomorrow.
Oh not being able to move a lead off double runner over really makes us look bad.(being nice here)
    Go Cardinals!

The Pujols money milking show needs to end. At least the part where he plays does. Sometimes it’s better to retire a year too soon than a year too late. There’s nothing left in his tool bag.

The idea he’s much more potent against lefties hasn’t been true since the first 3 or so weeks of the season. He has a better OPS against righties since that time.

    Since April:
    Vs LHP .214/.242 /.286/.528
    Vs RHP .155/.300/.276/.576

So Yepez needs to be a full time dh but won’t he block the next flavor of the month when they come up next season? Oh and we traded another should’ve been DH for him.

Well right now were short 2 gold glove defenders in the OF. Hey maybe Edman in the OF and Sosa at SS will help that. lol seeing as Tommy is the savior of the franchise. He can help the OF now!

Pujols as DH not only nerfs that slot in the batting order, it also pushes Yepez off DH amd into the outfield. Its like shooting yourself in both feet.
