TBA vs. TBA or RHP Matt Swarmer (0-0, 1.50)
FOX // KMOXJune 4, 2022 at 10:26 am #187008Hmmm.. TBA must mean Thompson By Appointment- he really did good last night!
June 4, 2022 at 11:07 am #187011Andre Pallante (R)
June 4, 2022 at 4:08 pm #187057I assume Goldschmidt’s hitting streak came to an end in Game One?
June 4, 2022 at 5:44 pm #187058Interesting infield.
1. Tommy Edman (S) SS
2. Nolan Gorman (L) 2B
3. Paul Goldschmidt (R) 1B
4. Nolan Arenado (R) DH
5. Brendan Donovan (L) LF
6. Harrison Bader (R) CF
7. Yadier Molina (R) C
8. Lars Nootbaar (L) RF
9. Edmundo Sosa (R) 3BJune 4, 2022 at 5:47 pm #187059If you put NA at third and Yepez DH you’d have something.
June 4, 2022 at 5:53 pm #187060I think so rat.

ParticipantMust win?
June 4, 2022 at 7:13 pm #187063We’re behind I see, but only by 1.
June 4, 2022 at 7:22 pm #187064Ha, ahead now. Good defensive play to nail Donovan at the plate. They had to execute and they did.
June 4, 2022 at 8:16 pm #187065Can’t believe Bader struck out swinging at his sucker pitch again. A ball low and outside.
June 4, 2022 at 8:26 pm #187066I just can’t muster any faith in our pitching in games we don’t rack up a bunch of runs.
June 4, 2022 at 8:27 pm #187067Ver Hagen making it easy for Chicago now.
June 4, 2022 at 8:37 pm #187068Tied up. Yadi shouldn’t have called for a 100 MPH meatball. That’s what Helsley threw. Everybody can hit 100 if its straight and right down broadway.
June 4, 2022 at 8:39 pm #187069Glad we got Helsley- that slider they hit was too high.
June 4, 2022 at 8:58 pm #187070Interesting inning Gorman hangs in there for foul ball derby and gets a walk. Bases loaded Cubs change pitchers.
June 4, 2022 at 9:08 pm #187071And Goldschmidt strikes out swinging with the bases loaded and two out. I am done tonight. Going to lose a doubleheader to a Cubs team that just isn’t very good.
Going to jump in the tub, grab a bite, watch some of the Mets/Dodgers game, have a cigar, and watch Emergency.

June 4, 2022 at 9:39 pm #187072Wow! Sosa misses third base and cannot score the go ahead run. How does that happen at the major league level! Ugh!
June 4, 2022 at 9:42 pm #187073I can’t believe what I just saw. Has to stop after rounding third and go back to touch the bag. So its tied still going to the bottom of the 9th.
June 4, 2022 at 9:42 pm #187074Sosa, are you serious???? I haven’t seen a blunder like that in awhile. Good grief.
June 4, 2022 at 10:00 pm #187076If we lose this game I would be putting Sosa on the next bus to Memphis. That was ridiculous. I would rather have DeJong than that.
June 4, 2022 at 10:13 pm #187077Breaking it loose in the top of the 10th.
June 4, 2022 at 10:14 pm #187078Well, in the top of the tenth the Cubbies pen could not hold down the Redbirds! Cards lead 7-3 with the Cubs coming to bat in the bottom of the inning.
June 4, 2022 at 10:27 pm #187080Now Nootbaar goes back on a drive over his head and ended up looking back over his right shoulder and the ball went over his left so he couldn’t make the play. I was a tough play, but he should have made it. 7-4 now, and that’s the final.
June 4, 2022 at 10:32 pm #187081Goldy failed on a couple chances to do some damage. He’s entitled after the run he’s had, but hopefully he’s not going into a funk now.
Donovan was the offensive star.
Sosa the goat with the mother of all base running blunders.
