Also BSSO and BSSW+May 25, 2022 at 11:05 am #186218I hate Saturday afternoon games. I don’t know why we have them.
May 28, 2022 at 1:51 am #186417I love Saturday afternoon games. No better way to spend the day.
May 28, 2022 at 6:09 am #186418Let’s hope Libratore looks better than last time.
As of this morning we are 3.5 games behind Milwaukee and 0.5 ahead of the Giants in the second WC slot.
May 28, 2022 at 6:55 am #186419Bling, and hopefully Gorman settles in. DeJong isn’t looking great in Memphis.
May 28, 2022 at 7:08 am #186420DeJong isn’t looking great in Memphis.
Maybe he’s picking up the tab for those guys at dinner.
May 28, 2022 at 8:50 am #186429Interesting spot for Liberatore’s second start.
It’s an especially meaningful game for this early in the season.
Sink or swim time for him I guess.
May 28, 2022 at 12:28 pm #1864341. Tommy Edman (S) SS
2. Nolan Gorman (L) 2B
3. P. Goldschmidt (R) DH
4. Nolan Arenado (R) 3B
5. Brendan Donovan (L) 1B
6. Lars Nootbaar (L) RF
7. Yadier Molina (R) C
8. C. Dickerson (L) LF
9. Harrison Bader (R) CFMay 28, 2022 at 1:00 pm #186437Don’t like that lineup. Then again, I don’t like most lineups nowadays.
And what did Joc Pederson and Tommy Pham rumble about yesterday? Did I read where Pham punched Pederson over a fantasy game?
Me and Whitey Herdog will be tuning for this one. Din-din will occur at about the time of the 1st pitch. And din-din will be a Ribeye steak in the air fryer, some jumbo crinkle cut french fries, a Mt. Dew, and a piece of Cookies n’Cream pie. Then a 7×50 Palma Real cigar.

May 28, 2022 at 1:09 pm #186438BTW…..did everyone see that Matt Carpenter homered for the Yankees last night? Against a lefty from Tampa Bay at that!
May 28, 2022 at 1:22 pm #186440I am glad to see Donovan play everyday.
When O’Neill and Carlson return I think Noot should go back to Memphis and Dickerson should be DFA’d.
May 28, 2022 at 1:38 pm #186442Wow! Tuned in just in time to see Gorman (What’s he doing hitting in the no. 2 slot?) mash that 450-footer into the seats (Oh, that’s what.) Great way to start the day.
All of which followed pork chops, mashed potatoes, corn and cornbread. After a couple of innings I’ll wander out to the kitchen and make myself a chocolate sundae.
May 28, 2022 at 2:14 pm #186445What’s happening to these Cardinals? They showed up today with an offense! 5-0.
May 28, 2022 at 2:26 pm #186446Milwaukee about to get back into the game……..
May 28, 2022 at 2:33 pm #186447This young Liberator is lookin” good.
May 28, 2022 at 2:40 pm #186448Part of the reason the offense has looked like it’s struggling is that Arenado has not been good since about the first couple weeks of the season. He’s hitting under .200 this month. Really need him to pick it up.
That said, this is a nice outburst today. Hopefully they can pile it on these Brewers.
May 28, 2022 at 2:46 pm #186449Damn this is fun!
May 28, 2022 at 3:01 pm #186450Gorman is only 3-for-3 with a double, homer and 4 RBI through four innings. Glad he didn’t get the memo that Milwaukee is a winning team and Houser a good starter.
May 28, 2022 at 3:09 pm #186451Just tuned in to the game and saw the score. A good day for the Cards. Also heard McLaughlin say Gorman is a triple shy of the cycle. A while back I recall we had a poster named atripleshyofthecycle, or something close to that. Maybe that was Gorman?
May 28, 2022 at 3:16 pm #186453Today is the Gorman and Goldy show. Goldy has to be one of the current leaders for NL MVP.
May 28, 2022 at 3:16 pm #186454Gorman is indeed having a great day. If he could just hang on to those pesky ground balls.
May 28, 2022 at 3:34 pm #186455We know when Goldy is hot, he is spectacular but when he cools off, he can go days without doing anything. Good he is hot now. Maybe he and Arenado can alternate.
.@ESPNStatsInfo: Gorman's 449-foot HR is the first Cardinals HR to travel over 430 feet this season. They were the only NL team without a 430-foot HR this season entering the day, and one of 2 teams in MLB (now the Guardians are the only team without a 430-foot HR this season).

May 28, 2022 at 3:48 pm #186457Man, Thompson and McLaughlin are at their insipid worst tonight.
May 28, 2022 at 4:01 pm #186459McFarland can join Dickerson in the DFA line.

I think they got lost on who was playing funny guy versus straight guy. Duo comedy is not easy. What’s good is they were having to fill air time because the game was not providing the fuel for it 😉
