Goldy and Nado have both outed twice in this game with runners on base. Wish they would just try to make contact for base hits. Odds are they gave to get a hit soon. O’Neil still missing everything. May be a trip to Memphis in his future? Hangover from the big game Funday night KC?
Team is all or nothing when it comes to denting the plate. As has been the case the last few years, just no consistency.
And you get Bader swing out on about as bad a pitch as could be thrown. Half of the outs were strikeouts, no ball in play, no pressure to make a play or move a runner. BLAH
Didn’t you just know Bader was going to K, chasing a ball two feet out of the zone. Feel it in the bones.
Drama in the 9th 2 Cardinals on base , full count. Closer going wild. Bader goes golfing for third strike on ball way out if the zone. Needs to chase that ball down and beat it with his bat. Almost pulled that game out of the hat!
Going into today, the Cardinals as a team had the second fewest number of strikeouts and had the 7th best batting average in the major leagues. They were 11th in runs scored.
