Ok look, an all time great team will go 108-54. A really, really lousy team will go 54-108.

So, I’m saying there is a chance?

May be the Giants will over look us…..

The Giants are in a real division scrap with the Dodgers and Padres. They know they have to win almost every night and they play like it. They are an interesting team. They still have some old veterans on bloated contracts dating back to their glory days and had zero expectations this year but somehow have put together a roster of no names that just wins and wins.

Farhan Zaidi has done a great job putting the team together. He is a protege of Billy Beane and Andrew Friedman.

Poesy took himself out. I was watching that game. He may miss our series and more.

I hate the thought that we are a team that a contender needing wins is glad to see roll into town. We really look like a punching bag right now. If there was ever a time we needed to man up, get the nerf noodles out of the bat rack, and put a beat down on somebody its now before heading to Wrigley.

I really think we have a team consisting of uncomfortable mix of ‘glad to be here’ and ‘been there and done that’s players.

That is one terrible lineup construction. Sometimes I wonder what goes through Shildt’s mind. It must be them sh~tn’a$$ Analytics that drives his lineups. Maybe he needs to go and talk to Herzog and find out how a lineup should be put together.

No DeJong is more interesting than no O’Neill or a roster move.

Shildt is a gung ho company yes man, Rat, and sh~tn’a$$ Analytics drives everything,

Well, we are just about ready to rumble at Candlestick Park. Me and Whitey Herdog will be on the couch for this one. Along with a couple of cigars. Then later tonight we will tune in for the Nationals/Padres game from Jack Murphy Stadium. Along with one or two other cigars.

Din-din today was a trip to Applebees. The 8oz Sirloin along with some garlic potatoes and green beans, and a Pepsi. No dessert today.

Getting fitted for a new set of irons tomorrow down at the French Lick Golf Learning Center.

No dessert for Rat tonight just may seize top billing of this game thread by night’s end. Well if Detroit can motor into Houston and come away with a sweep, then so can we. I love our boys to impress in this series. Live a little Rat ….how about having just a few scoops of that scrumptious homemade ice cream of your’s. .

Given our 5-8 record in the most recent 13 games against weak teams, you have to think this San Francisco series will be a disaster. But then you never know.

Still I am calling it a Giants sweep, then we drop 2 of 3 in Wrigley. At that point Shildt and company may be given a surprising (or not) heave ho at the break, although that will most likely wait until after the season.

Well so far we are hitless, I’m not sure it matters who we face. Just horrible up and down the lineup. You can’t really pick on just one or two guys now like some have.

Just 12 more outs left to secure the no no. Can the Cardinals do it? This lineup should challenge the goal of no hits.

Kim may be playing himself out of St. Louis via deadline trade. That’s a good thing.

If Carp had K’d like yadi, the Carp haters would be burning this thread down. Instead we get crickets.

jj he was obviously way overdue for something like that to happen. Good for him and the team.
