We did avoid Carp starting, there’s that.

True jj, but the irony is amongst the 3 he is the hottest at the moment and couldn’t possibly have done any worse. I just hope we did not get a weeks worth of offense in one game.

I just told my boss I want to clock out two hours early so I don’t injure myself from fatigue, but still get paid like I worked the full shift.

That was a great series for Atlanta. Get out all your ugliness in one game and win 3 of 4. When we’re up against an average or better starter we don’t have much of a chance

Well for the next 13 games we are basically playing the four worst teams in baseball (Tigers, Pirates, Dbacks, Rockies). We need to go at least 9-4 during that stretch and preferably 10-3.

Those might be crappy teams, but they are not chopped liver. If we don’t take a lead into the 8th inning, our strength as a club is nullified.

And each of them is playing one of the five worst teams in baseball.

Yet the narrative when Carp starts is……

    Just glad someone else noticed.

JJ, you are a smart guy but defending Carp seems like a strange hill to die on but I guess someone has to do it. It is true that his OBP is better than some of the regulars in the lineup but I would guess that 99% of Cardinal fans can’t wait for the day when his contract is off the books therefore removing the main excuse for running him out there 3 or 4 times a week.
