That’s right, 1964Cards…. we’ll “get ’em tomorrow”. Nighty night time. Now let’s all get some quality sleep and awake to a new day tomorrow….one filled with fulfillment, fun and a Cards romp over these Redlegs.

This team is what it is and that is a .500 team how they are built..

Goal was to win 3 out of 4 in this series.

The absense of depth will likely result in a decline from results to date as the season grinds on, depending on how speedy and effective Mo is at acquiring the help we need in the rotation, the pen, and bench players.

Some guys who have had the potential to help, haven’t done that much so far – Nogowski, Dean, Knizner, etc.

Based upon the Mo quotes I have seen in the P-D I expect a dumpster dive. Still, a functional reliever and bench bat who can do better than .140 should be possible.

It’s a sad (and also nice) realization, but there are probably a lot of guys out there that can be acquired for a low price tag that could help this team. We won’t upgrade our starting lineup with these guys but better they can help the bottom half of the pen, provide rotational depth, and improve the bench. Don’t ask me who they are, but I know guys with sub 5 ERAs and 200 BAs can be acquired for very little (and can help this team in its current state)
