Castillo sort of worries me. He’s actually a very good pitcher and sooner or later he is going to turn it around this year. I just hope it doesnt start tonight. I watched him pitch a few innings at Wrigley last Saturday and he was leaving his changeup up in the zone. He’s also got a 97 mph fastball. If he is on he is tough to beat.

Just wondering if Woodford might get the chance to face Castellanos at some point in this series. Plus I assume Castellanos will get boo’d big time tonight.

There’s been a bunch of rain move through the Midwest the last couple of days. Here in SW Indiana we’ve gotten almost two inches in the last 48 hours. But the Doppler Radar shows all clear in the St. Louis area now. And the forecast for the next few days is sunny with low-mid 80s for a high.

If there was ever a time we needed a real ace to be a real ace its now. Adam has to step up and be 8 inning Adam.

The dugout brass is skipping the Mikolas / Oviedo rotation spot and starting Wainwright on 4 days rest. I wonder if this is due to Oviedo starting recently in the minors and he’s not available until Saturday?

Brians game threads call for KK Friday, on 4 days rest also.

Yes we have! And I just moved into my new house and the yard isn’t done and I have wash outs EVERYWHERE.

Waino already a lot of pitches. Probably not going deep. Far as today’s moves. I’m glad Webb is finally gone though apparently they are hoping he clears waivers so they can pick him back up, craziness. Of course the guy taking his place isn’t much more reliable so oh well.

Long inning for the offense. Would be nice to really get to the bullpen tonight to set the tone for the series.

gamecast says Waino hit two batters and their guy balked all the the first. Some quality play.

Good job by waino to get 6 after start. Might get 7. I don’t care as much if we lose

Cardinals should be raking against the reds pitchers though this new reliever isn’t bad. Arenado really struggling.

Cards need to get something going here.

It may be tough with that Slider Antone is throwing.

Well I have to hand it to waino. . I wasn’t expecting 7 innings after that start but he figured it out.

Yeah the best thing to do about antone is get him out of the game

Arenado looks so lost at the plate right now. Was just flailing last time up

Well they bring Ina nasty guy, our pitcher, ponce, not so much. I know I will get hate for this but this was another game that was close and winnable against a rival and instead of bringing in our better pitchers to keep it one run game, we bring in ponce instead. Now it’s a two run game, maybe more. Our best guys were rested. Just my opinion that you do your best to keep it close. I know ponce is trying, Im talking about schildt.

Wow! Got something going in the bottom of the ninth! Carp doubles and Soda lays down a beautiful bunt for a hit.
