It’s been a long time since published attendance was actual bodies in seats.

I know this has been a very disappointing season but what Wainwright is doing at his age is simply amazing. He is dominating the league at age 40. I would think he would have to be top 5 in the NL Cy Young race. I would have no problem if the Cards give him a $10M deal next year like they did Yadi. He is probably worth more than that.

And yes Pugs, I am not going to be shocked if Yadi, Waino, and Albert go out together with the Cards next year. You can almost see the stars aligning.

Pretty good pitch by Gallegos to close it out.

Great 9th inning team ERA post, Euro! Who needs the esteemed Elias Sports Bureau with the elitly esteemed Euro Dandy lurking about? Indeed Scotty…..setting aside as much prejudice as humanly possible, I like our odds of winning it all in 2022. The pitching just needs to stay relatively healthy. When Waino, Yadi and Albert jog on off the field arm in arm, for the very last time, after winning Game 6 of the 2022 World Series, we Cardinal fans won’t know what to cry for first…..winning the crown or saying goodbye forever to our three old sports heroes.

Phil Niekro, Nolan Ryan, Jesse Orosco (lights out for the Mets for those that might not remember him), Charlies Hough, Gaylord Perry, Randy Johnson … just to name a few….pitched into their mid-forties. Waino has not said anything about retiring after the 2022 season, at least, not yet. If he does a repeat of 2021, I think we want him back in 2023.
