Is a shame seeing Carp flame out. He was a good player back a few. Have never understand why you wouldn’t try to adjust. But when you have been a pull hitter for as long as you have swung a bat I guess change was too tough.
Age catches up to the best of us. He faded badly at the end of 2018 yet was still handed a mega deal.

They could’ve easily let him play out 2019 and struggle and fans would’ve been fine with him, but instead, he got two more years, which were completely unnecessary.
Well, today met all of our expectations. Hopefully we can salvage one game when Waino takes the hill.
Of course, Roberts brings in Kelly to kind of rub it in here in the ninth.
He’s ben their 7th inning guy all year, mostly. It’s easy to put together a good team when you can spend $9 million on a seventh inning guy. I guess one could say its easy to put together a crappy team when you spend $12 million for whatever Miller is.

Maybe the team drew straws before the game to see who was going to play today???
