I’m still not a fan of goldy hitting second. I would probably have Carlson in front of molina. But it probably dont matter.

My boy Sosa keeps doing it. Nice start.

And again, I ask the question, why does Schildt continually bench Sosa for DeOut? Is is so obvious at this point which one deserves to be playing!

Woke up from an unscheduled nap and we’re up 7-0. Wife out of town again so din-din is a can of sardines and a can of peaches. I did get some more grape Nehi and Klondike bars.

Wonder which happens less often — hitting for the cycle or hitting 2 triples in a game?

Technical question. Does an intentional walk go towards your OBP and OPS?

I have never seen a player whack three triples in a game, let alone in his first 3 at bats in a game. Good luck Mr. Sosa….. let’s get it.

Good question Cranny. I would say yes to that question.

Good question too, Euro. That’s a toughie. I’d say two triples occurs more often in a game by a particular player. I think we may have to engage Skippy and his crack staff over at the esteemed Elias Sports Bureau with a few of our questions.

Simple but extremely healthy din-din. You’re going to live to be 103, Bling.

Bling, you and Radar from MASH distant cousins or something, he liked the grape Nehi as well, though only if it was cold…

Well had to put up a shelf for gf, missed the outburst. We need some games like this. With waino pitching we probably didn’t need it but thats ok. Sosa should replace Dejong rest of season in my opinion. At least a rotation. Plus I wouldn’t mind him moving up the lineup.

What the heck was Edman doing on the Bader throw that hit the bag. Bader gets the error I guess, but that’s on Edman.

Bader did not have to dive for that ball. What a drama king.

They give an error to bader for throwing the ball where he should. Edman should have gotten that error. That scorer needs to go.

Yea bader shouldn’t have to dive for a ball the other guys wouldn’t even have gotten within five feet of. Hilarious!

It was a very catchable ball, willie. That he could have caught at his shins.

Bader just walked on a high pitch that was almost over his head. Does that count toward his OBP and OPS, willie?

That’s your opinion bccran, funny I didn’t hear the announcers critiquing him like that. Maybe he wanted to make sure he caught it. Unlike some who always jump on somebody to be negative, I’ll be positive. Plus I went back and slow mode it, nah it’s very probably it would have went off his mitt if he tried it. Fans should stick up for their players when they hustle. If you don’t, I don’t consider you a true fan, I don’t care if that person has been watching a hundred years. Maybe it’s time for them to watch the cubs or some other loser organization.

I have been saying since June that Sosa needs to play more. And I have been calling for him to hit in the second slot, and move Goldy down to 3 or 4.

This might be the turning point where we see Sosa more than DeJong. Of course he will need to keep hitting, but he has done well whenever given a chance.

Will Paul D become the next MCarp, who was the next Allen Craig? Seems we always have a guy who had been good and lost it. DeJong was never really outstanding on offense other than his rookie year though.

Bicyclemike you are spot on. Would love to see him in the second position. I’m just not sure shildt is smart enough to make that move, he hasn’t done it yet

The ball Bader messed up last night was a rookie mistake. He needs Edmonds giving him a lesson or 3. You can’t catch every ball.
