August 27, 2021 at 10:53 am #170875ZTR, you have to remember, the Pirates can’t hit, so Happ will be fine.
August 27, 2021 at 12:42 pm #170882Baseball bingo Euro?
August 27, 2021 at 1:29 pm #170887We couldn’t possibly be bad enough to lose to a team that is 34 games under .500
August 27, 2021 at 2:05 pm #170889And yet I will still sit and watch every stinking inning. May have to have some red beer to get through it.. Or go buy some yellow jackets. Oh I sure hope next year is better.

ParticipantIf the Cardinals lose this series to the Pirates, instead of returning to St. Louis they should just stay East somewhere and hide out.
August 27, 2021 at 4:08 pm #170897Wooster, I don’t know much about baseball bingo, but the caller got stuck on “single” last night in the 7th inning and darn near called the cycle before the inning was over.
August 27, 2021 at 4:15 pm #170899On a good note there Doppler Radar doesn’t show any green stuff in or around Pittsburgh. Looks like it might be two nights in a row without a rain delay at Forbes Field.

August 27, 2021 at 4:33 pm #170901Somewhere I have a picture of my brother and I at Forbes Field. I was about 11 or 12. We also went to Crosley Field on that trip. Unless my memory is garbled which happens now days.
August 27, 2021 at 5:48 pm #170911That’s cool Bling. Two iconic stadiums of the past. We always hear about the ivy on the walls at Wrigley, since it is still around obviously. But I believe Forbes had that as well.
Another clunker batting order out of Shildt. Bob suggested Stubby as our next manager should Shildt get the axe. I would prefer going outside the organization this time and get Buddy Black in here. But he likely won’t be available.
And I think Mike gets a shot in ‘22, without a contract extension though. If things go sour early he will be out the door, and Stubby will step up to be the big man on campus.
August 27, 2021 at 6:39 pm #170912I only remember that trip vaguely. A couple years later we went to a couple Indians games at Municipal Stadium in Cleveland. Being a bit older, I do remember that perfectly well.
August 27, 2021 at 6:50 pm #170913Municipal Stadium had a huge CF if I recall. Like 440?
August 27, 2021 at 6:59 pm #170914It was huge and dark and cavernous. A lot of exposed iron work, posts beams, nooks and crannies. We did more exploring than watching the game.
August 27, 2021 at 7:01 pm #170915No score in the 4th but we may have something going, 2 on no outs. Happ has been efficient, 38 pitches through 3 innings.
August 27, 2021 at 7:08 pm #170917Thought so too Bling. Not to be-again.
August 27, 2021 at 7:20 pm #170918Sosa 1 out double- sac fly time
August 27, 2021 at 7:20 pm #170919Sosa needs to be in lineup the rest of the season to see if he is the real deal, or trade bait.
August 27, 2021 at 7:20 pm #170920Baders got to hit it
August 27, 2021 at 7:21 pm #170921Nice hit Bader.
August 27, 2021 at 7:22 pm #170922Bader rbi! I feel better now!
August 27, 2021 at 7:26 pm #170923Edman on a roll.
August 27, 2021 at 7:27 pm #170924Edman dinger! Goldy double!
August 27, 2021 at 8:03 pm #170925I keep telling myself that we only have one more year – just one more year – of watching Molina ground into doubleplays and kill rallies.
