Also BSSW+ in Oklahoma and Arkansas and BSSO in TN, KY and MSJuly 31, 2021 at 7:28 am #168395Lester instead maybe?
July 31, 2021 at 9:49 pm #168479Does it really matter that much?
Dig up Dizzy Dean and prop him up on the mound….
July 31, 2021 at 10:03 pm #168480On a good note……
Reds lost to the Mets Saturday night 5-4 in 10 innings. Votto missed a homerun by about 6 inches.
Brewers lost in Atlanta as well.

August 1, 2021 at 4:48 am #168487At last, a day game I can watch in real time. There’s always hope with Waino doing the flinging. The outcome will depend on whether these Birds with the bats have awakened from their Saturday nap and eaten their Wheaties. Rah Cardinals.
Speaking of Wheaties, Sunday din-din will consist of Salmon baked in a pastry with tarragon mustard and shallots cream sauce, garden peas, salad, iced tea and finish with a weekend special pineapple upside-down cake. Perhaps I’ll treat the adults at the table with coffee and a splash of 30-year-old Armagnac. Yum.
August 1, 2021 at 6:39 am #168492Time to move TO down a spot or two in the batting order.He is getting into a funk.Still think Goldy hitting 2nd is dumb.He belongs 4th.Did you all hear that Molina hasn`t had a XBH in 64 ABS.Why not;
Carlson
Edman
Arenado
Goldschmidt
O`Neill
Bader
DeJong
Molina
pitcherAugust 1, 2021 at 12:49 pm #168528The way guys have been trending, my order would go:
Carlson
Bader
Arenado
Goldschmidt
O’Neill
DeJong/Sosa
Molina
EdmanThe thing you see with Edman from the left side is he cannot hit the hard pitches up in the zone. It’s the same flaw Rick Ankiel had, and once pitchers saw that they exploited it.
August 1, 2021 at 12:52 pm #168530BikeMike,
I have been saying the same thing about Edman for awhile now. At times I say outloud “THEY WILL PITCH HIM UP IN THE ZONE AND HE CAN’T HIT IT!”I guess it’s his turn to adjust now since the league has adjusted to him.
Din-din today was some fried chicken in the air fryer, baked beans, a piece of angel food cake, and a Mt. Dew. Time to light up a cigar and watch a little of the Reds/Mets game before the Redbirds start. And yes, Whitey Herdog will be on the couch with me.

August 1, 2021 at 12:59 pm #168531Yeah Rats, you called it. Edman looks exactly the way Ankiel did when he goes after that pitch towards the top of the zone. That is where your out pitch to him has to be. He can handle pitches down, so as a pitcher you put those on the corners or throw breaking pitches that look good, then dive. Then go after him with pitches up and it will almost always be an out until he can adjust.
Ankiel never did adjust, so Tommy may not either. That pitch is tough to catch up to, and some guys just cannot do it.

Yadi looked uncomfortable on some swings last night. The announcers mentioned it. Some kind of physicl issue I guess and he won’t sit out until it heals. I am sure it was all he could do to sit out some recently. He needs to worry about getting healthy for post season. a-hem.
August 1, 2021 at 2:58 pm #168539Don’t know about din-din tonight. May make some Kabasi with noodles and baked beans. Hey CIF have you ever made baked cabbage with sugar glaze? Rats another guy who was a complete sucker for high fastball was our ex-outfielder Martinez. Used to make me crazy! I see Wainos got some support today and Yadi just got a hit. We may get a break if Gant in. Give them a dose of our medicine!
August 1, 2021 at 3:00 pm #168540Gant wild pitches in a run! HAH!

ParticipantWell watching bader now with him popping balls up instead of staying on top of them and or hitting up the middle, plus taking good pitches to hit, I think he’s going back into that cold spell. I think how and if he bounces back from it goes a ways into determining his fate on this team. It could just be a minor funk that all players go through but bader is one of those polarizing players so he doesn’t want to be there too long.
August 1, 2021 at 3:11 pm #168543Making New England clam chowder for din-din. Using frozen clams. Home made cheddar bay biscuits.
August 1, 2021 at 3:16 pm #168544RBI Sosa and Edman scores! Playing ball today!
August 1, 2021 at 3:20 pm #168545Waino living proof pitchers can learn to bunt
August 1, 2021 at 3:34 pm #168546Wooster: Can’t say sugar-glazed cabbage sets my saliva moving. I always thought the only thing cabbage is good for is sauerkraut.
This game more fun to watch than some of our recent outings. Waino continues to impress.
August 1, 2021 at 3:43 pm #168549Yeah CIF its been good for us. Actually good series for us. Gotta have cabbage with corned beef! We have 2x hits than last night already. Twins started out with a young hot team but they faded. Good day for us! 2 more innings…
August 1, 2021 at 3:45 pm #168551Pineda from behind looked like a Star Wars character on the mound for his 4 innings. lol
August 1, 2021 at 3:47 pm #168552Gant wild pitches in a run! HAH!
I just tuned in, so this was hilarious to read.
August 1, 2021 at 4:06 pm #168555Great din-din suggestions, gentlemen……except Wooster’s sugar glazed cabbage……no offense, Wooster.
The Twins are about our speed. May God help us both in the years to come.
August 1, 2021 at 4:11 pm #168556Hey Sosa gotta fill in today. Nice. He’s alive.
