Nine hitters come to the plate in the first and St. Louis takes a 4-0 lead.

Dylan Carlson can’t even drive in a run with the bases loaded. Strikes out. Talk about overrated. He’ll never amount to anything.

    (That about cover the hyperbole?)

Knizners inside-out 2 strike hit to the opposite field was a really nice swing.

Unbelievably, we start the day in second place. Let’s do this.

Technically we started the day in fourth place, by winning percentage, which is what MLB is going by. Hopefully we will get to play most of our games so it will become a moot point.

Good to see Fowler come up with a big two out rbi hit. It was a real pick me up!

In a 7 inning game does the starter still have to go 5 innings to get the win?

Don’t know, was assuming so. Wondered about that when I mentioned Adams career wins earlier. He’s at 52 pitches, bring him back out.

Luis Robert looked silly swinging at Waino’s hook to end the 4th

Well getting my first look at cardinals this year. they decided to bring up carlson. im ok with it. No hits today but im sure they will come. Not a lot of hitting but we got good pitching. Thats a game winner. Good job Waino and the whole team.

Hey guys! The Sox looked flat and Fowler looked awful on the paths…Carlson with a slick catch was the biggest plus from the game….oh! And of course WAINO

FWIW, when Fowler was thrown out easily at home, it was because runners are told to keep going on an infield play at first base with two out. I don’t think he ran through a stop sign from Oquendo, but I only saw one very quick replay.

Fowler also had what was probably the biggest hit of the game…

Good to see a game 1 win. Now a sweep would be a welcome restart to the season.

He’s gotta be abled to see he was gonna be out by a mile there! But granted, his bloop single was huge

I couldn’t see if Fowler was running all out from third to home. It might have made a difference.

Edmonds called it a good play, but he isn’t going to criticize players. If I cared enough, I would go back and listen to what the Sox crews said about the play. Though they were probably concerned about the defensive lapse, which was the only reason Fowler was relevant in that play.
