Edman catches the pop up by Rosario in foul territory. One out to go.

Two nice plays by Edmund there!

    Nice to get a split.

There we go. Strong play by Edman there, and the Cards win it, 6-4.

Nice to get the night cap. The Reds and Brewers are both losing tonight which helps us. We can’t worry too much about the Cubs. We just need to make sure we don’t lose second place. Just get in the playoffs and see what happens.

Though the last chapter of Ponce’s baseball career is far from being wrote, he has been a fairly substantial disappointment. I thought he would be much better at this point.

Hey Pugs, I always felt that anything we got from Daniel was gravy after his gruesome injury a few years ago.

I do think he’s been passed by all the current starters and likely will be passed by the next wave next year. However, I think his stuff can play up in short spurts out of the bullpen and I hope he can be effective there.

I think Ponce has good stuff too. He just doesn’t seem to trust it and lacks confidence. He nibbles and nibbles and let’s his pitch count get way too high and before you know it he is up to 80 pitches in the third inning. I really hope he can turn it around and stay with the organization.
