Carlson missed three fat pitches in that at bat. Didn’t even swing. The early returns are some missed opportunities to do damage with men on, and a bunch of well hit balls right at people. Hopefully he gets his feet under him soon.

Cabrera can throw the Cubs back in this. I am watching closely if I’m shildt and maddux.

carlson is going to be fine. Will he struggle some against major league pitching, yes, but he clearly has all the hitting fundamentals. the thing is, fans and coaches can put undue pressure on a young player that has expectations. We dont need him to be that player right now, lots of young talent. lets try to win this as a team and not put expectations and pressure when it isnt needed.

thats horrible by webb. Has a lefty up, throw strikes. Might work out here but its not smart.Looks off, yea off.

Personally once webb walked that guy, he should have been pulled but maybe they didnt have anyone ready.

Well, that sucked. Webb has been solid for a while, but coughed that one up.

The bullpen with another meltdown here. Way too many walks (stating the obvious). The Chicago club has plated five runs on just 2 hits. You’re not giving your team a chance when you cannot find the plate.

Everyone knows I am not a Webb lover.

I just don’t understand why for one reason we replace Cabrera with another lefty and if it was for Heyward a batter after then why didn’t we yank him after Bote was announced. What a boneheaded move!

Well that was depressing! Need to get some runs here.

You are right bicyclemike … way too many free passes.

I thought it was to start an inning only?

Well the rumor is their is something to his extended layoff. No one on here is discussing it but other sites are talking.

Yeah, obviously something is going on that the club is keeping under the radar.

We lose this game it’s 90% on shildt!

But Ross helped us out in game 1 by bringing the righty to face Miller. Course Miller then homered off the lefty in game 2, so who knows.

crismatt has got some great stuff but he doesnt have a lot of speed so he has to be spot on.

fowler is hot so i guess the right move but i would have preferred the speed of bader leading off but thats just me.
