ParticipantBig game for Wacha here.
June 15, 2018 at 3:07 pm #56537June 15, 2018 at 7:11 pm #56546Bader should be primed to hit Lester tonight. Wacha to hopefully make a statement. Are you thinking 2-1…..maybe a 3-2 ballgame here tonight with these two fine hurlers dealing? Nope. I’m calling this one 7-4 Cards with Bader finding the cheap seats.
June 15, 2018 at 7:35 pm #56547Pham needs to phind it….dude has been a disappointment on a few different levels this year. Wonder what we could fetch in a deal for him? Not much I’m afraid.
June 15, 2018 at 7:41 pm #56548Falling asleep here. Nobody else onboard??
June 15, 2018 at 7:48 pm #56549Pham started out hot. He was carrying the team through the first month and a half of the season.
Now, he is ice cold.
June 15, 2018 at 7:53 pm #56551Molina’s walk was the first Cardinal to walk since Sunday.
June 15, 2018 at 8:06 pm #56552You know Matheny is already drooling thinking about getting Bowman into this game with Wacha falling apart in the 3rd.
June 15, 2018 at 8:14 pm #56553The next 6 series should tell us if we are legit or just lucky with the schedule so far. Dang we get all the top dogs.
June 15, 2018 at 8:14 pm #56554Nice hustle by Wacha. Need to make that hurt.
June 15, 2018 at 8:18 pm #56555You still awake, Pugs? Cards have been napping for over a week now and evidently their heads are nodding early tonight. It’s contagious, but Wacha just beat out a casually fielded ground ball by Russell. Maybe Wacha is trying to be that offensive spark plug this club so desperately needs.
June 15, 2018 at 8:20 pm #565561st base umpire needs to give his paycheck back tonight.
June 15, 2018 at 8:21 pm #56557Why have review? Got it wrong twice.
June 15, 2018 at 8:26 pm #56558The tag on Bader was too close to overturn. I think he was safe but replay is not designed to overturn unless it is clear. There was enough doubt not to overturn.
It’s unfortunate that Bader slipped on his break from first.

Must not have had the view we were shown as it was clear as a bell he missed him.
June 15, 2018 at 8:29 pm #56560Bader promptly gets picked off to end the 3rd. He was out by just an eye lash, but that was such a worthwhile risk to take with his team down 3 and the 3 hitter at the plate.

stlcard25ParticipantWacha is great against everyone but Chicago.
Also, I really dislike Lester. I wish just once we smoked him for 8 runs.
June 15, 2018 at 8:32 pm #56562Another little league play Good god.
June 15, 2018 at 8:33 pm #56563
stlcard25ParticipantBad fundamentals ruin the game and basically end the chance for St Louis to come back.
June 15, 2018 at 8:35 pm #56564I saw a view from somewhere down the 1B line where it is close whether he tagged him or not. The view from 3B line couldn’t provide any better of a view.
June 15, 2018 at 8:37 pm #56565Did anyone else think that Molina had a chance to tag out Baez at home on that bunt?
June 15, 2018 at 8:42 pm #56566Yes, if Molina had gone for the tag he would’ve gotten him. Part of the reason is because Baez’ slide wasn’t good. Baez slid past the plate too far to the right, I think anticipating he was going to have to avoid Yadi’s tag attempt. Yadi would’ve easily gotten him before he could’ve reached back to tag the plate.
June 15, 2018 at 8:42 pm #56567
stlcard25ParticipantIt looked like it mat have been possible, but Baez was pretty far off the line and I’m not sure if Yadi is quite that nimble. Haha
June 15, 2018 at 8:53 pm #56568And Wacha ends any hope for a comeback. He is just bad tonight. He looked so good the last few starts, not tonight.
