17-4, final. When it comes to our team, so many problems, so little time…

Like I said…I could just feel a sweep coming on. They could still catch the Brewers maybe but it feels like this team is toast.

Come on, guys, it could happen to anybody. I mean, Detroit is getting trashed by Cleveland 13-0.

    Oh, wait….

Sweet call, Gmaske! Amazing we’re only 1 game off the pace as it feels like 12…..and it may as well be 12 because this team is dead. I hate being a loser…..but we all have seen this act a million times in the sporting world……our team is dead….and what a shame that is.

Hey, the REAL St. Louis Cardinals are back. That little August aberration was just that. Sigh.

Just an opinion not hard facts to back up. For the most part things were working when we had a pretty set up lineup. Then injuries and Matt Adams happened. Now we Carp playing third again, Munoz all over the place. The lineups are like a pandora box. Are these directly related to the awful play…maybe? Matt Adams came over to provide a left handed bat of the bench, not to solve a problem that didn’t exist like needing a 1st baseman. If I made the decisions I would try to maintain a set lineup. Gyorko and Yadi don’t look healthy don’t play them. Let Wisdom play third and Kelly catch. Put Martinez’ butt on the bench and let O’Neill. That won’t happened because of the wildcard chase.

Blaming Shildt is wrong IMHO.The team is still 34-22 with him as manager. Beats the hell out of 47-46 under MM.Sure Shildt is having growing pains … some rookies are hitting the wall and some vets are failing to play their usual levels. The Cards are the youngest team in playoff contention and no other team in contention has had the injury issues as the Cards have had.The Cards are hanging in contention with 3 rookie SP,a injury riddled bullpen. It `s not over yet.

It has more to do with talent and health than anything else.

When we swept them we had some things going for us minus an Ozuna injury. They didn’t have Kershaw, Jansen was a mess and honestly they weren’t playing well. Now it appears that is over and the real Dodgers are back. Which is bad news for us.

I thought it would be a split. Right now I’d take a win tomorrow and pray we can even get into a game 163. Not confident!
