Bader with a 1 out double to right with Wong slapping on the brakes at 3rd. Babe Mikolas strolls dishward. He hits a soft chopper to 3rd and Arrenado will easily gun down Wong at home with Bader standing pat at 2nd….2 outs. Carpenter grounds out to 2nd and once again we cannot push a run across to pad our lead…let’s hope this doesn’t come back to haunt us. I wouldn’t feel comfy with an 8 run 4th inning lead in this ballpark let alone a 4 run advantage.
Mikolas ties a MLB record set my many, as he dispatches the Rockies in order here in the 4th. Hey, does anyone know the name of the last Cardinal hurler to whack 2 homers in a game? Love to see Mikolas accomplish the feat here this evening.
O’Neill smokes one out to center that drives in Yadi. Jmart looked like he might catch Yadi and has to stop at 3rd. 5-0 Cards.

What a strange play on the Gyorko fly ball. It seemed like it might go out, the LFer climbed the wall…and it fell almost right on top of him. He missed the catch and another run scores. 6-0 Cards.
Yadi with a leadoff base knock to open the Redbird 5th. Now Jose slaps a ground ball base hit to right with Yadi holding at 2nd and we are really in business now! O’Neill (31 homers on the year…5 with the big club)….rips one into the left-center field alley and it’ll go all the way to the wall!!…Yadi prance in with the 5th Cardinal tally and Jose will stop at 3rd on the O’Neill rbi double. DeJong flies out to short center and all runners won’t move a muscle…got to get at least one more in. Gyorko strokes one deep to left!…Dahl back at the wall….and off the top of the wall….Jose will score with O’Neill stopping at 3rd on the Jedd 2-bagger….6-0 Birds!
Oh oh….Arrenado pokes a dongaroo to left and it might be just about time for Miles to think about applying the Head & Shoulders.
Just a quick heads up msn has changed their mlb scores page when you go to an individual game…kind of neat imho…just go to msn then mlb and then the cards game…it’s certainly different than the old way…
Maybe we should try and trade for Arenado in the offseason and then extend his contract, maybe a cheaper version of Machado that’s almost as good…
This is about as bad as Mikolas has looked this year. A lot of hits and a lot of good contact. A double play ball would be great here.

That’s at least twice that Wong has been positioned in a place where he couldn’t get to a ball that the “traditional” alignment would have turned into an out. That one was a double play ball. Hopefully the next one becomes one.
No problem, I thought at first that it sent me to a different website, much more color and looks a lot better than it used to once you get the hang of it…
ugh that is what happens when you dont attack the baseball Gyrko you back up and make Wong try to hurry to get the dp because you backed yup and let the ball come to you….this is worst managing job by Shildtz so far….
Cards are doing their best to let the Rockies come back from the dead. They couldn’t get the double play anyway but the error now puts a runner on third.
Another hit and another run off Mikolas! You DO NOT want to lose a game like this as it could send your team in a serious tailspin! But we still lead by 2 and we have one of the best pens in baseball….we certainly couldn’t say that a month ago.
