2018 Arizona Fall League

Nice to see our Saguaros tame the Glendale DD’s (that’s “Desert Dogs” to the layman) today by the score of 10-1. The Desert Dogs dug themselves an early 9-1 hole after 5 frames and failed to unleash any offensive threats thereafter. Now if only our Saguaros never had to face Salt River….then they just might have had a shot at taking home the AFL crown.

How about a quick recap for all of you Rafters fans out there? Salt River stung the upstart Scorpions out of Scottsdale last night by the score of 3-2. “Slammin” Sammy Hilliard went downtown in the 6th with the bases unattended and Salt River starter, Jon Duplantier, went 4 2/3’s innings strong while whiffing an eye popping 9 Scorpions. Then in came a host of 4 Rafters relievers to preserve order and preserve order they did! How does 4 1/3 innings of 1 hit 0 run baseball grab you? You know…we have all heard of 5 tool baseball players, which are a rare find indeed. But how about a 5 tool team???? Now that our 1st place Salt River Rafters are clicking on all cylinders, I just don’t know a team beats these guys?
