Sadly, the fans do not get a vote, other than with your wallet, and most of that seems to be idle threats.
As has been discussed on the thread about the labor unrest, the fairest answer may be for owners to commit to the players a set percentage of team revenues. Then, the players can dicker among themselves who gets what.
