At one time I attended quite a few Cardinal games during the course of a season and always had good luck regarding rain delays or washouts. However, I distinctly recall attending one game that started in the early afternoon during a weekday, but was postponed as a result of a downpour just 2 outs prior to becoming an official game. I wasn’t too unhappy about it, because the very next night I got to see Bob Forsch work a 7-0 CG shutout over the Atlanta Braves in game 1 of the ’82 NLCS.
