Not sure if this has been discussed but it looks like Chase Davis might be a bust. So far he has lived up to his name with a high strikeout rate, but not much power.
Some guys struggle adjusting to wood bats. There was a guy from this area – terrific athlete and got a full ride offer to Texas to play football. But the Orioles signed him for a $1 million bonus and he chose baseball – his name is Darnell McDonald. He struggled adapting to wood bat leagues, but did eventually make it to the majors and had some success, but nothing like predicted.
