I also recall him as a Cub during the late 60’s when he and Jenkins formed up a potent left/right, one two punch against our Redbirds, Pugs. By the time he was winning championships with the A’s, I was driving age and actually liked the Oakland teams a lot because they seemed to go against the grain of the established status quo.
