Whatever he is, he’s successful. The one series that will always stand out to me was the ’12 WS four game sweep of the Giants over the Tigers. I was pulling for Detroit after what the Giants had done to the Cardinals after they held a 3-1 game lead in that season’s NLCS and were one win away from another pennant. Three of those 4 WS games were very close and were up for grabs by either team. It was the first time that I really took any notice of Bruce Bochy as a manager. He’s a good one.
