#STLCards manager Oli Marmol said star first baseman Paul Goldschmidt was scratched from Friday's 8-3 win over the #Marlins because of a family matter. Marmol said he & Goldschmidt had been in contact since 6:45 AM on Friday, and that he suggested the MVP simply take the day off.
