BW52, I get where you are going with your post. In a normal winter, unloading contracts with partial salaries might work. But this winter, with so much available talent that is NOT clearly in the decline phase of their careers, finding takers for the Cardinals bad contracts, even with partial salary coverage, would be close to impossible, IMO. They should try for sure, but expecting success is another matter.
I do disagree with the last statement, though, making Edman one of the team’s two untouchables. But this talk should be on another thread as it does not relate to Molina, so I will still stop there.
P.S. It is a good idea, though. Maybe folks would like to each list their untouchable Cardinals. That could be an interesting new thread if you or someone wants to start it.
