Wong at 2 years and $10M would be more than fine to return. All things considered, I’d rather have Ha Seong Kim if he comes over for the same price.
The guy I really want gone is Tommy Edman. It’s nothing I have against him personally, but Shildt has such a fascination with him that’s completely unfounded. Never at any point in his minors career did he show skills that pointed to him being anything above average with the bat. His defense at 3rd this year was mediocre at best. Perhaps a move to 2nd where he won’t have to make such quick movements will help. Still, people are overrating him because he’s a switch hitter who can play multiple positions passably. But he’s better than Carp, who is a roster train wreck at this point.
