While I prefer Sosa much more than Schrock, I do like Max’ hitting style. He has that approach where you “throw your hands at the ball”, which is a good technique for putting the ball in play and driving pitches the other way. It is the classic Tony Perez hitting approach, but Perez had power.
Still I do not see his departure as a great loss. I would have preferred to keep both him and Sosa with Wong likely heading elsewhere, but so be it.
