Acuna admiring his right field hit was apropos for a team and certain players who think they are elite. Contrast that with, let’s say, Tommy Edman.
Edman would’ve started sprinting his first step out of the box and probably wouldn’t have stopped sprinting until he reached 3B, then would’ve had to ask the coach if it was caught or fell in safely or was a HR.
Not sure why that’s so hard for some players to understand, especially a guy who was benched for dogging it on a similar play in the regular season.
