I liked the way we played some small ball at times, and generated runs that way. Only one of the seven runs coming on a homer. Course we needed that one. And we actually walked one more time than we K’d.
Had we just sat back and waited to be bailed out by the home run, rather and practicing the execution involved in moving guys over, we lose that one. That may be the biggest improvement in this club under Shildt over Matheny.
