The St. Louis Cardinals system went 3-1 on Sunday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, Alex Iadisernia, went 3-for-4 including a homer, four runs and a stolen base in Palm Beach’s win. Other standouts include Jordan Walker, L.J. Jones, Osvaldo Tovalin and Won-Bin Cho.

Memphis 11 at Lehigh Valley 12 (11 innings)
In an extra inning contest, the Memphis Redbirds (24-15) fell to the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (PHI, 19-19) at Coca-Cola Park.
Michael McGreevy pitched five innings and was touched for three runs on seven hits and two walks. TCN’s no. 5 prospect struck out four. Dalton Roach tossed a scoreless sixth inning.
The IronPigs scored a run in the second inning, but Memphis responded in the fourth. Aaron Antonini tripled to clear the bases and make the score 3-1. Lehigh Valley tied the game in the bottom half.

In the seventh, the Redbirds took the lead with four runs. Masyn Winn came across on a wild pitch. Jordan Walker doubled to bring Taylor Motter (IBB) and Moisés Gómez (walk) home. Luken Baker scored on an error to increase the lead to 7-3.

Grant Black recorded a scoreless seventh inning, but the pen struggled from there. Guillermo Zuñiga surrendered two runs in 2/3 of an inning and JoJo Romero yielded two more in 1 1/3 innings to tie the score.
In the 10th, Juniel Querecuto homered to plate two. Kramer Robertson doubled and came across on an error after he stole third. However, the IronPigs answered with three runs in the home half.
Andrew Suárez was charged with five runs, three earned, in 1 2/3 innings on six hits and one strikeout.
Walker singled in the 11th to score Taylor Motter and make the score 11-10. Lehigh Valley walked off Memphis in the bottom of the 11th. Romero and Suarez received blown saves with the loss going to Suarez.
The Redbirds lineup had ample opportunities with 13 hits and nine walks but left 10 runners on base. Walker recorded his first three-hit game of the year and had three RBI and two runs scored. Gómez, Robertson and Antonini had two hits apiece. Baker walked three times.
Gómez threw a runner out at second base from right field.
Memphis went 4-2 against the IronPigs this week. They are in first place in the International League West.

The Springfield Cardinals (14-19) broke their six-game losing skid, edging the Tulsa Drillers (LAD, 22-11) at ONEOK Field on Sunday afternoon.
Starter Wilfredo Pereira gave up two runs on three hits and two walks in six innings. The right-hander fanned three and earned his first Double-A win.
The Cardinals took the lead in the third inning. Matt Koperniak doubled to score Justin Toerner. Pedro Pagés also doubled for the 2-0 edge.
Tulsa answered with two runs in the home half but L.J. Jones blasted his fourth homer of the year in the fourth to recapture the lead at 3-2. The afternoon’s scoring ended there.

Andre Granillo pitched two scoreless innings and yielded a hit, one walk and one strikeout. Logan Sawyer saved his third game of the season with a perfect ninth.
The S-Cards’ lineup recorded four hits and five walks. Koperniak had two hits and Jones walked and homered. The pitching limited the Drillers to four hits and three walks.
Springfield went 1-5 against Tulsa this week and are eight games out of first place in the Texas League North.

On a hit-by-pitch in the rain, the Peoria Chiefs (18-15) walked off the Dayton Dragons (CIN, 15-18) on Sunday at Dozer Park.
Starter Ian Bedell only went 3 1/3 innings and yielded two runs, one earned, on four hits, a walk and two strikeouts. TCN’s no. 37 prospect threw 36 of 61 pitches for strikes. Bryan Pope surrendered an unearned run in 2 2/3 innings and struck out four.
After the Dragons scored two in the fourth, Aaron McKeithan got them back with a two-run home run in the bottom half, his third of the year. Dayton recaptured the lead in the sixth but Osvaldo Tovalin doubled to bring Victor Scott II (HBP, 2 SB) across to tie the game at 3-3.

Alfredo Ruiz was charged with a run in 1 1/3 innings on two hits and a strikeout. Matt Hickey earned his first High-A win after a scoreless 1 2/3 innings with four strikeouts.
Dayton took the lead in the eighth inning, 4-3. In the ninth, the Chiefs loaded the bases with no outs. Jimmy Crooks walked to tie the score. Ramon Mendoza was hit by the pitch to end the game, 5-4.

Tovalin recorded three hits, two doubles, an RBI and a run. McKeithan homered and came across twice. The Chiefs had five hits and three walks in total but still found a way to win.
Scott took two bags in the contest. TCN’s no. 29 prospect leads professional baseball with 26 stolen bases.
Peoria split the series 3-3 with the Dragons this week. They are tied for second place in the Midwest League West.

The Palm Beach Cardinals (20-13) topped the Jupiter Hammerheads (MIA, 18-15) in a slugfest at Roger Dean Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
In four innings, starter Cade Winquest surrendered three runs, two earned, on four hits and a walk. The right-hander fanned six. Angel Cuenca was touched for three runs in the fifth inning on three hits and one walk.
The Beach Birds brought four runs across in the first inning. Michael Curialle doubled to score Alex Iadisernia and R.J. Yeager. Won-Bin Cho and Jose Zapata each singled to bring across a run. The Hammerheads responded with two in the home half.
Yeager recorded an RBI single in the second, but Jupiter responded again with a run in the bottom of the frame. In the third, Jose Zapata brought in Cho via sacrifice fly. Leonardo Bernal and Lizandro Espinoza each singled in a run in the fourth. Iadisernia blasted a solo shot in the fifth, his fourth of 2023.
John Lynch tossed 2/3 of an inning and yielded a run. Joseph King gave up an unearned run in the final 3 1/3 innings. The 2022 draftee earned his first professional win with five strikeouts.
After the Hammerheads scored four runs over the fifth and sixth innings, Iadisernia came across for the fourth time in the contest on a wild pitch to make the score 10-7.
Iadisernia homered as part of a 3-for-6 day with four runs scored. Espinoza also recorded three hits. Yeager and Cho had two hits and two walks apiece. The Cardinals had 15 hits and eight walks against Jupiter.
Palm Beach stole five bases on Sunday as Cho took two and Chris Rotondo, Yeager and Iadisernia all stole one.
Cho recorded an outfield assist in right field as he threw a runner out at home.
After a 4-2 week against Jupiter, the Beach Birds are in first place in the Florida State League East.
