The St. Louis Cardinals system was 0-4 on Friday. The Springfield game was postponed and Palm Beach played a doubleheader. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day is Palm Beach RF Won-Bin Cho, who was 2-for-3 with three RBI in the Palm Beach loss to Daytona in game one. Other standouts include Luken Baker and R.J. Yeager.

Memphis 9 at Omaha 10 (10 innings)
The Memphis Redbirds lost in extra innings to the Omaha Storm Chasers in a one-run loss on Friday. Starter Tommy Parsons pitched 4 2/3 innings, gave up eight runs, five earned, on 10 hits and struck out two.
Andrew Suarez relieved Parsons and surrendered one unearned run in 1 1/3 innings of relief. Kodi Whitley threw two scoreless innings. Jake Walsh relinquished one unearned run in the final 1 2/3 innings to take the loss, his first.
Omaha scored first with one run in the first inning. The Storm Chasers added to their lead with two runs in the third.
Memphis got on the board with a bang, pushing seven runs across the plate in the fourth. Luken Baker hit a solo home run. Moises Gomez walked, and Taylor Motter followed with a single. Juniel Querecuto singled and Kramer Robertson doubled to plate Gomez, Motter, and Querecuto. Errol Robinson reached on an error. Robertson scored on a single by Aaron Antonini. Masyn Winn singled and Robinson scored. Antonini scored on a sac fly by Matt Koperniak.

The Redbirds lead 7-3 but the Storm Chasers answered with six runs in the fifth to take the lead 9-7. Memphis scored a run in the sixth to cut the lead to 9-8 on a single by Motter.
The Redbirds tied the game at 9-9 in the ninth. Querecuto walked and later scored on a throwing error.
The game entered the 10th inning with Antonini on second base. Memphis failed to score. In the bottom of the 10th, Omaha scored to win 10-9 in a walk-off.
Querecuto was 3-for-4 with two runs scored. Motter was 2-for-5 with an RBI. Baker went 2-for-5 with one RBI and Winn was 2-for-6 with an RBI. Robertson had three RBI.
On the base paths, Winn stole his 12th base of the season. Querecuto stole his seventh base.
In the field, Motter, Suarez, and Robinson each made a fielding error.
Memphis is 29-26 on the season and is in fourth place in the International League West, 3.5 games back of Iowa.
Saturday’s game: at Omaha, TBA (MEM) vs. Max Castillo RHP (0-5, 5.64) 7:05 CT.
Springfield at Amarillo (postponed)
This game was postponed due to rain. The game will be played on Saturday, June 3 as part of a doubleheader.

The Peoria Chiefs fell to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in a six-run loss on Friday. Starter Ian Bedell pitched four innings, gave up four runs on five hits, struck out two and walked one. Bedell took the loss, his second.
Andrew Marrero relieved Bedell and threw 2 1/3 scoreless innings. Alfredo Ruiz relinquished four runs, three earned, in the final 1 2/3 innings.
The game was scoreless through three innings. In the fourth, Wisconsin scored three runs to take the lead.
In the top of the fifth, Peoria scored their only two runs of the game. Jeremy Rivas drew a walk and Thomas Francisco singled. Elijah Cabell was hit by a pitch. Victor Scott II singled to score Rivas but Francisco was thrown out at home on a force out by Francisco Hernandez. Nathan Church walked and Cabell scored.

The Timber Rattlers added a run in the bottom of the fifth to lead 4-2. Wisconsin scored three runs in the seventh and one in the eighth to win with the final score of 8-2.
Scott was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Francisco was 2-for-4. The lineup left nine runners on base.
In the field, Jimmy Crooks was charged with catcher interference. Ruiz made an error on a pickoff.
Peoria is 22-27 on the season and is in fifth place in the Midwest League West, six games back of Cedar Rapids.
Saturday’s game: at Wisconsin, Trent Baker RHP (2-3, 3.58) vs. Tyler Woessner RHP (4-1, 2.84) 6:40 CT.
Palm Beach 7, Daytona 8 (seven innings, game one)
The Palm Beach Cardinals were edged by the Daytona Tortugas in an 8-7 contest on Friday at Roger Dean Stadium. Starter Hancel Rincon pitched five innings, gave up three runs, two earned, on four hits, struck out two and walked one.
John Lynch relieved Rincon and surrendered three runs while recording only one out. Edwin Nunez allowed two runs in the final 1 2/3 innings. Nunez took the loss.
The Beach Birds scored first with one run in the first inning. Alex Iadisernia walked and R.J. Yeager doubled. Won-Bin Cho singled to score Iadisernia.
Palm Beach added three runs in the third. Brandon Hernandez singled and Yeager singled. Cho plated Hernandez on a single. Leonardo Bernal reached on a fielder’s choice and Yeager scored on an error. Cho scored on a force out by Michael Curialle.
Daytona answered with three runs in the top of the fourth to cut the lead to 4-3. The Cardinals scored three more in the home half of the fourth on a bases loaded walk by Cho and a two-run single by Bernal.
The Tortugas brought the game within one run with three runs scored in the sixth. In the seventh, Daytona scored two more to go up 8-7.
Cho was 2-for-3 with three RBI. Yeager was 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Bernal had two RBI.
On the base paths, Cho was caught stealing for the third time. Lizandro Espinoza was also caught stealing for the third time.
In the field, Adanson Cruz made a throwing error. Carlos Linarez had a passed ball.
Palm Beach 0 at Daytona 3 (seven innings, game two)
The Palm Beach Cardinals were blanked by the Daytona Tortugas in a 3-0 loss at Roger Dean Stadium on Friday in the second game of a twin bill. Starter Brycen Mautz pitched six innings, gave up two runs on four hits, struck out seven and walked two. Mautz took the loss, his fourth of the season.
Augusto Calderon relieved Mautz and surrendered one run in the seventh.
Daytona went up 2-0 in the third. The Tortugas scored their final run in the seventh.
The Palm Beach offense managed only two hits. They were 0-for-2 with runners in scoring position and left four men on base. Both hits were singles by Leonardo Bernal and Javier Bolivar.
On the base paths, Bernal was picked off first base. In the field, Won-Bin Cho made a throwing error. Joshua Baez had a fielding miscue.
Palm Beach is 28-21 on the season and remains in first place in the FSL East, a half game ahead of Jupiter.
