The St. Louis Cardinals minor league system was 2-2 on Sunday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, Peoria’s Cade McGee, was 3-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI. Other standouts include Won-Bin Cho, Jesús Báez, Darlin Saladin, Ryan Weingartner, Brayden Smith and Anthony Watts.

Memphis Redbirds 1 at Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp 4
The Triple-A Redbirds dropped a close contest to the Jumbo Shrimp in Jacksonville in Sunday’s series finale. It was Memphis’ fifth consecutive loss.
Brycen Mautz started his 14th game. The left-hander pitched five innings and allowed four runs on five hits, five walks, and three strikeouts. Mautz took the loss.
St. Louis rehabber Ryan Fernandez tossed a scoreless sixth inning in relief. Skylar Hales followed with a shutout seventh frame. Luis Gastelum walked two and recorded one out in the eighth. Ryan Murphy stranded the runners and finished the scoreless eighth.
Memphis opened the scoring with a run in the top of the first inning. Nolan Gorman hit a two-out solo home run, his second with the Redbirds.

Jacksonville tied the game with a run in the second inning and three in the third to take a 4-1 lead.
Colton Ledbetter’s bunt single in the fourth inning was Memphis’ last baserunner, as their final 16 hitters were retired consecutively in the loss.
The Redbirds scored one run on four hits. Gorman walked and hit a solo home run. Ledbetter was 2-for-3. Jeremy Rivas singled. The lineup drew just one walk and struck out eight times.
On the bases, Rivas stole his third Triple-A bag.
The Redbirds did not commit an error.
Memphis is 1-5 in the second half and 48-33 overall after dropping five of six in Jacksonville. The first half champs reside in last place in the International League West Division. The Redbirds are off Monday and will head home to AutoZone Park for a six-game set with the Charlotte Knights, starting Tuesday.
Tuesday’s game: vs. Charlotte (CWS). Pitching probables have not yet been announced. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM CT.
Springfield Cardinals 7, Northwest Arkansas Naturals 6
The Double-A Springfield Cardinals came back in the late innings to walk off the Northwest Arkansas Naturals at Route 66 Stadium in the series finale on Sunday.
Jurrangelo Cijntje made his 15th start for Springfield. The switch-pitcher faced 14 batters right-handed and one hitter left-handed. Cijntje threw 2 ⅔ innings and allowed six runs on seven hits, no walks, and three strikeouts.
The bullpen was excellent, throwing 6 1/3 innings of scoreless ball on just two hits. Darlin Saladin fired three innings on one hit, two walks and a strikeout. Lefty Michael Watson recorded four outs. Nelfy Ynfante took the eighth. Andrew Schultz pitched the ninth and picked up his second win.
The Naturals scored first with a run in the top of the first.
Springfield responded with three runs in the home half of the frame. With two outs, Ryan Campos and Deniel Ortiz singled. Jesús Báez crushed his second Double-A home run, a three-run shot, to put the Cardinals in front 3-1.

Northwest Arkansas plated five runs in the third to move ahead 6-3.
Springfield moved within two with a run in the home sixth. Travis Honeyman reached on a throwing error and made second base on the play. Campos singled to advance Honeyman to third. Honeyman crossed home on a sacrifice fly from Ortiz.
Springfield tied the game at 6-6 in the seventh. Tre Richardson III and Brody Moore walked and executed a double steal. Harris brought Richardson III home on a sacrifice fly. Moore advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on a Honeyman single to knot the game up at six apiece.

The game remained tied at six heading into the bottom of the ninth. Won-Bin Cho lifted the second pitch of the inning into the seats for a walk-off home run, his third Double-A long ball, to win the game for Springfield, 7-6.

The Cardinals scored seven runs on seven hits. Báez was 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI. Cho hit a walk-off solo home run. Ortiz singled, scored, and drove in a run. Harris tallied an RBI. Campos singled twice and scored.
On the bases, Moore swiped his sixth bag. Richardson III stole his 11th Double-A base.
On defense, first baseman Ortiz committed an error on a missed catch.
Springfield is 5-1 in the second half and 36-38 overall after winning five of six over the Naturals. They hold a one-game lead in the Texas League North Division. The Cardinals are off Monday and will stay at Route 66 Stadium for a six-game series with the Arkansas Travelers, starting Tuesday.

Peoria Chiefs 5 at Beloit Sky Carp 6
The High-A Peoria Chiefs dropped a tight contest to the Beloit Sky Carp in Sunday’s road series finale.
Jacob Odle started his fifth game for the Chiefs. The right-hander tied his career-high of six innings pitched and allowed four runs on seven hits, one walk and eight strikeouts.
Memphis rehabber Victor Santos yielded two runs in an inning of relief of Odle and took the loss. Gerardo Salas struck out two in a scoreless eighth.
Peoria opened the scoring with a run in the top of the second. Michael Dattalo walked and advanced to third base on groundout and passed ball. Cade McGee lined out sharply to center field, with Dattalo home on the play.

The Chiefs added two runs in the fourth to extend the lead to 3-0. Dattalo hit an infield single and scored on a two-run home run from McGee, his 10th of the season.

Beloit scored a pair of runs in the home fifth to narrow the score to 3-2.
Peoria took a run back immediately in the sixth. McGee launched his second home run of the game, a solo shot, to move the Chiefs ahead 4-2.

The Sky Carp tied the game at four with a two-run home sixth and tallied a third consecutive two-run inning in the seventh to jump in front 6-4.
Peoria moved within one in the eighth. Jack Gurevitch lined a single and stole second base. Dattalo was hit by a pitch. With two outs, McGee scorched a single to bring Gurevitch home and bring the Chiefs within one at 6-5.

Peoria was unable to answer further in the close loss.
The Chiefs scored five runs on eight hits. McGee was 3-for-4, including two home runs and five RBI. Dattalo walked, singled, and scored twice. Gurevitch was 2-for-5 with a run scored.
On the bases, Gurevitch swiped his sixth bag with Peoria.
The Chiefs did not commit an error.
Peoria is 4-4 in the second half and 36-38 overall after the series split with Beloit. They reside in fourth place in the Midwest League West Division. The Chiefs are off Monday as they head home to Dozer Park for a six-game set with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, starting Tuesday.

Palm Beach Cardinals 8, Bradenton Marauders 3
The Low-A Palm Beach Cardinals bested the Bradenton Marauders at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Sunday’s series finale.
Sem Robberse started for Palm Beach, as he works to rejoin the Memphis Redbirds. The right-hander threw two innings and allowed one run on two hits, no walks, and three strikeouts. Yadiel Batista pitched a scoreless third inning in relief. Kaden Echeman yielded a run over 1 ⅓ frames but picked up the win. Dylan Driessen gave up an unearned run in 1 ⅓ innings. Anthony Watts struck out three over three scoreless innings to collect his first professional save.
Bradenton struck first with a run in the top of the second inning.
Palm Beach tied the game at 1-1 in the home half on Yordalin Peña’s solo home run, his ninth of 2026.

The Cardinals plated four runs in the fourth to take a 5-1 lead. With two outs, Alex Birge walked and moved to third on Trevor Haskins’ single. Haskins stole second and Sebastian Dos Santos was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Ryan Weingartner belted a grand slam, his 10th home run of the year.

The Marauders scored single runs in the fifth and sixth to narrow the score to 5-3.
The Cardinals regained their four-run lead in the seventh. Brayden Smith led off the inning with his seventh home run of the season.

Matthew Miura followed with a single. Peña grounded into a forceout, with Miura out at second. Peña swiped second and scored on Ian Petrutz’s double for a 7-3 Palm Beach lead.
The Cardinals added an insurance run in the eighth. With two away, Weingartner hit his second home run of the game, a solo blast.

The Cardinals held Bradenton to 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position in the win.
Palm Beach scored eight runs on 12 hits. Weingartner was 2-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI. Smith went 4-for-5, including a double and a solo home run. Peña singled, scored twice, and drove in a run. Petrutz doubled and tallied an RBI. Haskins was 2-for-4 with a run scored.
On the bases, Haskins stole his 12th bag. Peña swiped his 15th base. Dos Santos was caught stealing second base.
On defense, first baseman Haskins made a throwing error. Heath picked a runner off first base from behind the dish. The Cardinals turned two double plays.
Palm Beach is 7-2 in the second half and 40-35 overall. They hold a 1.5 game lead in the Florida State League East Division. The Cardinals are off Monday and will travel to
Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland, Florida, for a six-game series with the Lakeland Flying Tigers, starting Tuesday.

FCL Cardinals (off day)
The Florida Complex League Cardinals were off Saturday and Sunday, as they prepared for a home contest with the FCL Nationals on Monday.
The Cardinals will look to continue their momentum following a 7-3 win over the FCL Mets on Friday.
The last-place Cardinals are 12-24 on the season.

The Dominican Summer League Cardinals were off Sunday, as they prepared for a home contest with the DSL Phillies on Monday.
