In Saturday’s Arizona Fall League Fall Stars Game, 2B Thomas Saggese drew two walks, stole a base and scored as the NL lost to the AL, 6-5.

NL Fall Stars 5, AL Fall Stars 6
The National League Fall Stars fell to the American League Fall Stars 6-5 on Saturday at Mesa’s Sloan Park.
Thomas Saggese was the only St. Louis Cardinal selected, starting at second base and batting third for the NL squad. In three plate appearances, he went 0-for-1 with two walks, a steal and a run scored.
Saggese walked in the first, walked in the third, stole second, and later came home on an RBI groundout, and lined out in the fourth. The Cardinals Fall Star was replaced in the sixth.
The entire AFL, including the Glendale Desert Dogs (14-12), are off Sunday.
Monday’s game: at Mesa Solar Sox (13-13), TBD vs. TBD 4:30 CT.
