Now having said this, he’s months past being due for a decent game, so maybe today is the day and Dexter hits a little wounded quail out to short left center that finds it’s way to the turf prior to meeting some leather? Maybe today is that day?
Longer than seven starts in eight games. In fact, we had a long discussion about this during the off-season on the Fowler thread. Some said as long as a half-season. For reference, that is 81 games. Most were less patient, some much less so. I am pretty sure those who were willing to give him a chance at all said more than one week.
I’m sure it depends on how the team is doing. As long as we are in shouting distance of the Brewers Fowler will get a couple of months at least. If we start dropping in the standings they will pull the plug sooner. And by pull the plug I mean put him on the bench or IL. I see zero chance they would release him and eat the money.

If this is the case we can most likely kiss any playoff aspirations bye bye…….yeah screw the whole organization….as long as one very way over paid man can get his chance to play. If Fowler’s play does not dramatically improved by this coming Thursday and he’s still starting, I’m jumping ship and going over to my second favorite team’s board and doing PBP….the Baltimore Orioles.

“Arkansas and Oklahoma would be same as usual on cable (FOX Sports Southwest Plus, assuming they’re carrying the game). On DirecTV, Dish and U-verse it’ll be on the FSMW Plus channels listed in the release (for fans with the right package).”
My interpretation for cable is that this game is not affected by the Blues game in your market. Either it is on FS Southwest Plus or not at all. There is no alternate Cardinals channel.

I am trying my best to stay positive this season so I have resisted posting when things haven’t gone well or when there are things I don’t agree with that team is doing. Today is not the day to start, some are probably happy about that lol, but I’m not sure how much longer it will last. We are in the second week of the season so a little more rope, but storm clouds are building on the western front.

That is correct. We don’t get the Blues games, only the Cardinals.
What a bonehead Fowler is. When he finally does something right, he effs it up. I heard the boo birds as he left the field. Many fans are sick of the guy, and many is getting larger.
Watching DF’s play on the field and at bat leads to me to only one conclusion — he doesn’t give a you-know-what anymore. He is lackadaisical on every play and in every situation. Let’s cut our losses and get someone out there who wants to play.
In Dexter’s defensive, it has been a long time since he has made many left hand turns around first base. I am sure it was a strange feeling as he got out there in no man land.
Quick 4th for Wacha, pitch count at 77. Chance again to get thru 5 innings. Which was looking unlikely in the third.

Cards bullpen remains trash. Miller has been so unimpressive that I’m on the verge of calling him Holliday 2.0.
I’ve never seen so many pitchers just nibble at the zone and miss this much.
Mo has once again put together a roster that is sprinting out of the gate. Every facet has been covered today — great starting pitching, pen, hitting, defense, and base running — no base left uncovered.
