1:15 p.m.
RHP Miles Mikolas (4-4, 4.35) vs. LHP Andrew Abbott (6-1, 1.84)
FanDuel // KMOX // WIJRJune 21, 2025 at 8:54 pm #285301Another hot one this Sunday. This could be a big win for the Redbirds. And with the Yankees and Padres coming up it’s a really important game for the Reds.
And speaking of which, Chip Caray……hee hee hee.
June 21, 2025 at 9:16 pm #285302Haha…Yeah, “pride” only hurts…
June 22, 2025 at 10:10 am #285311Missed yeterday’s game as I had all kinds of things going on, but watched the condensed game on MLB this morning while having breakfast.
Nice to come back like that. That was something missing the bases-loaded-no-out opportunity in the 10th. You figure that would normally spell doom.
Hot out here in the RMW as well, but we cool down this coming week. Just in time for the weekly Monday morning softball games tomorrow.
Would be great to get the brooms out today. But even though Mikolas has pitched better of late, I see this one a bit lopsided in favor of the Redlegs.
June 22, 2025 at 11:26 am #285318Abbott has been pretty solid this year. His ERA and FIP are a little out of whack but it still shows a pretty good pitcher regardless.

jj-cf-stlParticipantAgree, he has shut down lefty bats and righties vs Abbott do not have bragging rights.
Our righties should have a mandatory “show up” day. Oli could use bench bats Barrero and Pozo (DH) or use the regulars, lefties Burly/Gorman (DH) and Scott.

That’s sort of what he did.

jj-cf-stlParticipantThe “show up” part is on the lineup.

jj-cf-stlParticipantThe “show up” part is on the lineup members.

jj-cf-stlParticipantSrry for repeats. Barely getting replies posted. Hangin’ by a thread 😉
June 22, 2025 at 12:30 pm #285331They’ll have 27K going through the turnstiles today. Lol

jj-cf-stlParticipantThe boys need these home game wins, consistently. Their season is built on it.
June 22, 2025 at 12:42 pm #285333The more post from JJ the merrier.
We swept the ChiSox in their yard, so why not the Redlegs in our park? Andrew Cole Abbott has some nice stats, but really, how dominating can a pitcher on a 1 year $770K contract be? We can belt this guy. I see a very high scoring game here today, so get those wagers in on the over, gang. I know it’s going to be sizzzling hot out there today, but I was hoping to get the complete greater St. Louis area forecast from Rat, but I guess he’s still wining & dining his two lovely lady friends from Milwaukee today. I’m kind of hoping one…..or maybe even both of these fine ladies wins Rat’s heart and makes an honest man out of him. They can start by putting an abrupt end to his gravel thievery.June 22, 2025 at 1:38 pm #285334I bet the beer and soda pop vendors are having a field day today with these soaring temps. I wonder how much they make in tips a game? Probably only about $150, but double that if we had a packed house.
June 22, 2025 at 1:42 pm #285335Well I’ve learned one thing this inning…..Miles is faster than Trevino.
June 22, 2025 at 1:49 pm #285336When I see the lefty working out there on the mound, I’m reminded of how well Herrera was swinging the bat before he landed on the IL. Hopefully Saggese will make some key contributions.
June 22, 2025 at 1:50 pm #285337Mariners all over the cubbies 3-1 as they go to the bottom of the 2nd inning at Wrigley. Raleigh whacked his 30th. And speaking of Chicago, history can be made in Toronto today. I’ve checked with Skippy over at the esteemed Elias Sports Bureau and for a 3 game series, there has never been an identical 7-1 score for all 3 games. The ChiSox belted the Jays 7-1 on Friday night and Toronto returned the favor with a 7-1 drubbing of Chicago yesterday. I’ll be on the edge of my seat for their game today…….root for a 7-1 score, gang!
June 22, 2025 at 1:51 pm #285338Stringing together some base hits here in the 2nd to tie it up.
June 22, 2025 at 1:52 pm #285339We need to get more than a run this inning or it’ll be a big letdown.
June 22, 2025 at 1:56 pm #285340Ouch we only get the one tally…..that hurt.
June 22, 2025 at 2:04 pm #285341Mikolas whiffs the side in the 3rd….still knotted at 1-1.
June 22, 2025 at 2:07 pm #285342We need to get that pitch count up there for Abbott to get him out of this game. He has 40 under his belt already as he starts the bottom of the 3rd.
June 22, 2025 at 2:09 pm #285343Your a fool if you’re having more than a token been in this hot weather. Only thing you’ll create by chugging is more sweat and a headache. Possibly fall out like I saw a dozen people do at the Yankees game I attended in August a couple years back when we had no pitch clock. That game lasted almost 4 1/2 hours and it was hotter than today.
June 22, 2025 at 2:12 pm #285344On a day like today you’s almost have to slam down a beer just to keep it from getting hot.
