C Pedro Pages RGorman slowly but surely inching his way higher in the batting order. I bet prior to his recent scolding, other than possibly when he was first brought up, he’s never hit lower than 5th in his entire life. The demotion to 8th seems to be working. He should know that next time he gets himself mired in a 2 month slump that he’ll be occupying that #9 slot for a spell.
How would the posters here feel about batting your top prospect who has been in the bigs for a week in the #3 spot?
I was thinking along those same lines, Albert. Normally I’d view it as a bad idea, but not with this guy. I’ve only seen him play in two games, but he looks to be first rate.
I don’t mind it at all. I was curious what others thought since some of the statements I have seen here in the past would say it is a no go.
Yeah Wood with a mistake there, but I’ll take it for a bloop double from Gorman with an RBI an inning extender. Now Carlson singles Gorman in for a 2-0 lead.
I thought it was lunacy for the Cardinal manager to place Gorman in the 3 slot last season, but this player for DC is an altogether different make and model than Gorman.
Gorman, with a keen eye on continuing his northern migration in the batting lineup, drills a 2 out base hit to left, scoring Goldy…..3-2 Birds.
Gorman seems to have swung back to the hot streak. Gotta ride that as long as it lasts before he goes back into the freezer.
Won’t see a nicer 6-4-3 than that one. That’s what you pay those outrageous prices for a hot dog to see…Haha!
A multi-HR game from Willson or Nolan, any day soon, wouldn’t surprise me. They both seem like a lit fuse.
