SianiOli! You threw 4 lefties against Means and 1 switch hitter. You can’t start Gorman again?
It’s not a mail it in Marmol lineup but it’s not the best lineup they can throw out there.
May 22, 2024 at 12:45 pm #253200You can’t start Gorman again?
Especially since Gorman accounted for all the runs last game.
In fairness, Gorman only has a .522 OPS against left-handers this year (his career is much more equal).
Though, if we were paying attention to splits, Goldy would be hitting nowhere near #3 in the order and would get frequent rest days at home.
May 22, 2024 at 12:54 pm #253201They must have let Ollie write this one up himself.
May 22, 2024 at 1:26 pm #253204The Nolans have been kind of sloppy in the field of late.
May 22, 2024 at 1:30 pm #253205Nice…Just tuned in to see that a Gorman HR lifts the Cardinals in the suspended game. Uh oh, looks like Arenado can’t find the handle in this game.
May 22, 2024 at 1:36 pm #253206Gibson nearing 70 pitches in the 3rd inning. Guys fouling off pitches left and right plus lots of early in the count wasted pitches.
May 22, 2024 at 1:43 pm #253207I have a feeling we’ll see Loutos debut today.
May 22, 2024 at 1:46 pm #2532083 called strikes against Nootbaar that were all off the plate. Same pitch he got wrung up on yesterday and was thrown out.
May 22, 2024 at 2:06 pm #253209As I predicted no Gorman in this game. Lefty or not he is swinging a hot bat. Makes no sense.
May 22, 2024 at 2:09 pm #253210As I predicted no Gorman in this game. Lefty or not he is swinging a hot bat.
Yeah, I believe you should always go with the hot bat until it cools itself off.
May 22, 2024 at 2:25 pm #253211I tuned in late. I’m looking at the box which shows the Cardinals with an E-5. I also see a FC on the same play. And finally, on the previous play I see what looks to be an IF hit to Arenado. Gibson hasn’t been charged with an ER, so I’m wondering if it was indeed only 1 error charged to Arenado. Anyone know what’s what?
May 22, 2024 at 2:30 pm #253212Yes, the FC and error were on the same play.
May 22, 2024 at 2:32 pm #253213I think the 3rd run was not charged because it would not have scored it the error had not taken place.
May 22, 2024 at 2:50 pm #253214Okay thanks, LA. What confused me was that the E-5 was indeed described as a “fielding error.” When I saw the FC, I thought they made a mistake and that it should have been termed a throwing error. I was also a bit crossed up by the previous IF hit to the 3B’man. I thought he may have not fielded the ball cleanly. In any case, it’s 3-0 and Gibson’s not accountable for any ER’s.

jj-cf-stlParticipantTeams on a roll, find ways to comeback.
What are we looking at for long relief?
May 22, 2024 at 3:27 pm #253216The new guy, Loutos?
May 22, 2024 at 3:28 pm #253217King starts the 5th.
May 22, 2024 at 3:46 pm #253218The top of the lineup scored!
Oh, it was because Winn was moved from 8 to 1….
May 22, 2024 at 3:58 pm #253219Nice…Two run triple and another run on the Das Boot for Donovan…4-3 Cardinals!
May 22, 2024 at 4:00 pm #253220Talk about perfect timing……back from the salt mines in time to see Donovan stepping in and then clearing bases with the help of an errant throw to 3rd base. 4-3 Cards heading to the 7th.
May 22, 2024 at 4:03 pm #253221Kyle Yandow Leahy on in relief for just the 10th time in his career. Yandow turns 27 in about 2 weeks.
May 22, 2024 at 4:05 pm #253222Someone has to do it Pugs. And Leahy hasn’t been too bad. I think it was either he or Fernandez. Fernandez probably gets the 8th.
May 22, 2024 at 4:06 pm #253223Wow! Leahy doesn’t get the strike 3 call on an actual strike on the outside corner . . . Twice. But for Lars, they called it on him again and again 3 more inches outside.
