The 27 Yankees lost 44 games, its not the end of the world. Having no rotation kind of is though.
Did anyone else notice how bad Arenado looked on those two strike outs last night. My goodness. And is anyone else noticing that Contreras isn’t exactly happnin. He’s hitting .228 and his SLG is lower than Knizner’s. That contract is by no means out of the woods.
But the complimentary pieces have mostly been doing well. Edman, Donovan, Noot, and Gorman, who will stay hot forever, having morphed into Babe Ruth over the winter. I am still not sold on the PDJ experience.

One of the rare guys we have traded away recently that hasn’t amounted to much. Hopefully he can do us a solid and serve up some meatballs to help us get a split.
We really need to win today. Losing 3 of 4 to the Reds would be embarrassing after winning 3 of 4 from the Dodgers. Very schizophrenic.
Yeah, Bling, we’ve seen this several times from DeJong before he falls off the edge of the flat Earth into oblivion, but he’s now collected 86 AB’s in 25 games and I have to concede that the production numbers are looking more than pretty good. Moreover, he placed those numbers on the board with a degree of consistency that I’ve not seen from him in a long time, if ever. I’m not entirely all in with him yet, but he’s right on the cusp of making a believer out of me. I should know better…
Yeah, dropping 3 of 4 to the Reds would be a sad affair, gscottar. Hopefully Mikolas will feature a nice turn and give us a chance, but Bench or Perez will probably burn us once again…
This game starts before the StL. lunch bell and right around the time CardinFrance is finishing up one of those fancy din-dins…Haha!
The bench is loaded with All-Stars and the top step of the dugout is occupied by an individual who could only be termed as patently dumb.

yeah, who needs Goldy and Arenado in the lineup anyway? Especially when you have the likes of Burley, Yepez and Knizner to do the heavy lifting for you!
I’ve looked at every credible outlet that posts daily line-ups and it stays the same. It really does. No kidding. All I can say is, I don’t know. I really do not know. I thought I had an idea, but now I’m not so sure. “At least I think that’s what I’m thinking”…My goodness…Freud’s theory was right! I’ve been afflicted with a collective mental condition!

I am going to start mowing just before the game starts. Then jog just a little. I’ll tune in around the 4th inning. By then I am sure the score will be 7-1 Reds with us having committed who knows how many blunders.
Din din today will be a ribeye steak in the air fryer, a couple ears of corn, a glass of water, and a piece of strawberry pie from the Amish restaurant. With any luck I will have a cigar to finish out the game right after lunch.

I know that the given reason will be that we are in the midst of 19 games in a row but good grief. We get two days off in a row next week. They can rest then.
My evening begins here in front of my computer consuming a din-din of that all-time French favorite – beef Enchiladas and refried beans. I’ll finish off after a while with some blueberry cake.
I’m working on figuring out lunch here, CardFrance. Think it’s going to be a tin of Kipper Snacks placed on Saltine soda crackers and drizzled with a little Tabasco.
Burleson gets a pass and the box score says Mikolas allowed a hit on that bouncing ball hit right at the 1B’man by Friedl.
I’m done mowing and jogging and see that we are still in this one. No score after four. Time to get dinner started, cleanup and a little, and then tune in.
