Also BSSW+ in Oklahoma and Arkansas and BSSE in TN, KY and MSI doubt they will be putting him on the mound in 2022. Unless there is some kind of epiphany, renaissance, etc, etc.
Rat’s “Unless” is a good point as to everyone on the roster. If somebody has a good second half we will forget all about how much they stink now.
On the Monday game thread some posters were commenting about the lineup. I’ve said the whole season the lineup construction is bad. And I’ve said from Game #1 that Arenado should be batting in front of Goldschmidt. And they should be hitting third and cleanup, not 2nd and 3rd.

DejongAgree Rat. I would have like to see Noot hit second last night with Edman not starting. I see little benefit to hitting Goldy or Nolan in the two hole. I want those guys hitting with runners on (assuming the guys in front of them can get on base).
The boys on the job today were talking about a parade downtown before tonight’s game, to celebrate last nights victory.

I dont know if Nootmania is over. But unless he FINALLY starts to produce a little bit I believe the Carlosmania is coming to an end after 2021.

Over the last 7 days, DeJong has started to show some good results at the plate.

Tommy Edman never played in the outfield either at Stanford or all the way through the Cardinals system, until he played 2 games in the outfield at Memphis in 2019. In the shortened 2020 season, he played the majority of the time on the infield. Let me ask a question. Why in the world is he playing in the outfield now? Especially at a corner position where there is usually power? There was plenty of depth in the outfield coming into this season with O’Neill, Bader, Carlson, Thomas, and Williams.
Speaking of Edman, why is his season .299 OBP leading off?
This June in 98 PA’s, his OBP is .216 (not a typo) and his OPS is .498, with 1 BB and 17 K’s.
At least hit him 8th where he can get some freebie IBB’s.
I will speculate on Edman in the outfield … you need him in the line up when you have two of your eight positions hitting under .200.
I am not sure what will happen when Bader returns. He is nearing 1,000 ML career at bats with a slash line of .233/.320/.400/.720. He is a great fielder. Just do not know how they can afford to run him out there every day when the team struggles to score.
Williams is miserable with no business on a big league roster.
Thomas hasn’t produced in his limited chances.
Bader is hurt.
Need Edman in the OF where he proven able to play.Why DFA Nogowski, who absolutely raked in Memphis in 2019 when there are 2 or 3 really useless outfielders on the 40 man? You could pick up a useless outfielder if the need arose.
How many runs will CMart give up this game? My line for him will be 3 1/3, 6 runs, 4BB, and 2ks . Hoping this reverse psychology helps.
Blingboy, you raise a good point. Mo kept trading for young outfielders (O’Neill, Thomas, Williams) when we had several already in the fold (Bader, Arozarena and Garcia). You cannot use them all. Not sure the Cards will get much for Bader, Thomas or Williams. They only got cash for Garcia and time will tell how the Arozarena trade works out.
It is a head shaker.
Bally sports is really screwing people here in southern Indiana. They for some reason are showing bally sports Arizona on my tv instead of the Cardinals. They were doing the same thing earlier in year but with reds. The thing is I called my cable provider and they said bally sports controls it yet the other cable service we have called wow which my son has is showing the Cardinals broadcast. It just boggles my mind. When I stream it off my phone I get the cardinals broadcast as well, just so stupid. That’s my rant for the night.
